  1. I just got my date today! I'll be having mine on Nov. 9th!
  2. Good luck! I got my date today! Nov. 9th! Just when I completely gave up thinking about it, it happened! So glad I didn't have as long a wait between approval and scheduling! I'm sure it's very nerve wracking!
  3. @@Mountaingal yeah I've been waiting with anticipation for so long! I can't believe I finally have my date! What's really creepy is auto correct on my phone just changed date to fate! That was eerie!
  4. . Yeah... Do you have to do a pre-op diet I'm sure I will, but they haven't told me what it is yet. I imagine they'll tell me about it at the appt on Fri.
  5. I go in Friday for a pre op visit and then over to the hospital for my blood work and tests. All I really need is an EKG and blood work so yay! Thanks everyone! I'm so excited I can't think straight!
  6. I just got the call back and I'm going to have surgery Nov 9th!!!!! Holy crap my heart is beating so hard I think it's going to jump out of my body!!!!
  7. @@Babbs I'm waiting on the scheduler to call me back. She sent me a message this morning and I just checked my e-mail and found it called her back, but she wasn't there. I'm hoping it'll be soon.
  8. I've been approved!!!! I've been approved!!!! Holy freaking moly I have been approved!!!!!!!!!!!!! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  9. Still pending this morning! Ugh! I'm Going to try to spend the day not thinking about it and see if it goes faster like it did with getting it submitted! Apparently a watched pot never boils!
  10. Aetna does that all the time! When my son got a scald burn on his leg from our kitchen sink faucet they wanted to know if there was any chance we planned to pursue legal action against the person who was in charge at the time it happened-which was husband, me, and my poor teenager daughter who was washing him up after dinner at the time. They must have called and sent papers to the house a dozen times before they got it through their heads they were the ones paying the bills for his burn treatments! They'll look for anyone else to stick the bills to!
  11. You look wonderful! Congratulations on all the hard work!
  12. I just called and it's just "pending". I'm planning to call and check every day til I hear something, but it was just turned in late on Friday finally so wait is the name of the game. I cannot imagine it not being approved though with my high BMI and long medical history of obesity and stuff. It's just waiting for the rubber stamp people to stamp it that is annoying!
  13. Gosh I wish it would go away after surgery. I don't know if in my case after 7 vaginal births if that is even possible, but at least I could get it all fixes if it didn't but nice to read and see there is still some hope that it might!
  14. When I was pregnant with my last baby, I bought ula popken brand called ooh la la or something like that. Great briefs and boxers. Loved them. When my under belly under my panni starts to get sticky and sweaty and rub ugh hate that! I use Gold bond medicated powder. I throw it all up in there and in my thigh creases and it's instant heaven! I totally recommend it, but OMG do not EVER get it in the crotch of your panties and put them on! It burns so bad!????????
  15. After having 7 kids, there's not really much tone left to my uterus but I'm insanely fertile for my size so holy hell breaks loose every month. Think like the floodgates to hell. I actually have to use the giant super ultra overnight Tenna brand pads(these things are freaking HUGE but are the only thing I've found to deal with the problem.)My OBGYN says I'm too big at my current weight for a hysterectomy and because of past history getting pregnant on an IUD I really am not sure I want to do one of those again, so in order to get hydro ablation which she said we could talk about at a later date, my husband would have to get a vasectomy, which he promised he would each time after I nearly died giving birth and nearly lost our last 2 children, but he whooses out each time and doesn't get it. They get to the part about talking about the rare possibility of blue balls syndrome(don't ask google this LOL) and he FREAKS out! So annoying! Anyway, so Tenna pads are huge and make a lot of noise and are very obvious under pants so I wear bike shorts to hold them in place and keep the noise down and then wear long dresses and maxi skirts so I don't get butt bulge. It's not a big deal because I like to wear long skirts, but it would be nice to have other options sometimes. After I lose weight enough, I plan to get the whole thing fixed and never have to wear a monster diaper pad again!
  16. I've been trying the flavors all weekend. I really enjoyed the Caribbean cooler, the lemon tea, and the twisted cherry. I just ordered a bunch at mybariatricpantry.com unfortunately it wasn't as good a price and it was for 10. Next time I'll try your place!
  17. Way to go! I love hearing stories like these! I love hearing people doing so well and it gives me hope when it's my turn I'll have those kind of results too!
  18. Wow, my NUT doesn't recommend avoiding anything completely because it causes cravings and promotes binges. I was told not to over do the fruit but mainly because it's not filling and can make you hungry again faster leading to more calories and snacking, but that we should try to have 1 serving a day once able to...after the protein of course.
  19. Sounds to me like your doctor didn't write the letter of recommendation stating it is medically needed. I've had to wait since Oct 5th to get my surgeon to write one because he was out of town and out of the office all that time. Without one, it's an auto denial even though they don't list it in the requirements. I was dumbfounded when I found out we had to have one otherwise I would have been on them weeks before I finished to get it done.
  20. I've been eating the yo plait Greek 100. There are about 3 flavors I like so far, but it's better than the no flavors I like of all the others. They are sweetened with Splenda too so no fear of dumping or migraines from aspartame.
  21. I've always had a pretty ugly panni and I loved wearing Vanity Fair back in the day. Sooo comfy and pretty on especially the seamless microfibers. The key to finding something that looks good is to look for high waist but NOT high cut legs. That way it's all contained and not in an unflattering way.
  22. You look amazing! Way to go!!!!
  23. Well you can freeze milk, or get a quart or even a pint at a time. Yogurts maybe instead of buying 7 for a week or whatever, think about how many you actually use in an average week and only buy as many as you can use. I got some nifty storage containers that can hold about half a yogurt at a time to store meals after surgery. That way they don't go bad. You can also freeze them and it's almost like an ice cream treat. On the ricotta bake you can freeze the mix and make it as you want it. I do that with my ricotta based lasagna filling all the time which is basically the same recipe. You also might want to think about getting a vacuum sealer and sealing up individual portions of food and freezing the rest. I do a lot of that for my kids to make easy to eat meals they can just heat n eat(like a lean cuisine or kid cuisine).
  24. I'm calling first thing in the morning for an insurance update. My husband's work has a special plan with Aetna so we get a special person on that side to advocate for us and speed things along as a perk so I can't wait to call them and let them know it's finally there and to go do what they do to make it fast.
  25. @@Mountaingal it really is the best news. Hopefully next week I'll be approved and have a date! ???? @@Dub lotto day will be when I have the actual surgery date in my hand! ???? @@Elode thanks! my day is coming I can feel it! No insurance company in their right mind would not approve me.
