About 3 hours door to door...from the time they wheel to the OR to the time they take you to your room. Actual operation about 45 mins.

Hi I'm 1 month post op sleeve... And this past week have had shrimp/sashimi. Both have worked really well for me. You will need to take it slowly try things a little at a time. Rich sauces can be problematic...clean fresh food is the way to go! Good luck it is seriously the best decision I've ever made.

So I am four days post op and feeling okay all things considered but I can't get my fluids in. Like not even close. The more I drink the more the gas hurts and i walk but it doesn't help much and I am doing really horribly with it. Any suggestions?
Three days post op!!! I am getting myself all messed up!
I'm 3 days post op... Gas ex strips and 2oz shot glasses are my 2 secret weapons. Really helped me to get get rid of the air and sip slowly. Officially today I had no problems with my liquids. I hated that feeling like a ballon was traveling through my body! Ouch!

Hi everyone, I'm 3 days post op and feeling great! Finally feel like I got rid of all that air...I'm on Clear Liquids for 2 weeks. I'm curious as to why we are not supposed to have Protein Drinks ex. (premier protein) I had 2 shoot glasses yesterday and 2 today and it really tastes so good to me. I'm doing better than I expected as far as not feeling hungry. My doctor didn't have me on a pre-op diet. I would love any suggestion/ explanation of the clear liquid phase. 2 weeks seems like a lifetime on broth.

I feel the same way. Barely any pain, just soreness like I did a lot of crunches. My incisions have no pain and if it wasn't for seeing them, I wouldn't know they are there.
Luckily, I watched my swallow test on the screen so I know I was really sleeved and I can feel my restriction.
Today is day 3, I am going to get my nails done, I had to take my gel polish off for surgery, and walk around the mall.
I have a lot of energy but being cold all the time is getting annoying.
Did they tell you you had to remove your gel polish??? I don't like naked nails or chips!!! ????????

I'm also 35 and had the surgery as soon as I qualified. My fiancé was convinced that all I needed to do was hit the gym/ go running/ etc. (please we all know if it was that easy we would do it)
I'm 1 month post op today I'm down 28 lbs. Seriously it has been a breeze for me. (3 days were a little rough)
He is now so supportive there is nothing better than the person that loves you most seeing how much happier you are when you very literally start melting. My advice is to only tell well wishers before. You don't need any negativity. You do need a support system. There is a lot of great info on here and also on Pinterest.
Good luck to you!
