Hey! Im 21 years old & my surgery is going to be in October. Im excited and i've done everything I need to except my psych evaluation & my EGD which are both scheduled in two weeks. I just recently stopped eating meat & packing everyday with protein shakes, eggs and water. So far so good!

"Wow! Have you lost weight!?" I get this statement ALL the time (currently at my heaviest) does anyone else get this? Its like people freeze and can't think of anything else to say. I don't get it... How about just a hello? At this point it just makes me smile cause come October i'll be able to say "absolutely, I have!"

I'm currently at my heaviest weight ever and people are constantly saying things like this to me. I feel embarrassed for both of us when I get it. It almost feels like they're either saying: "my mental image of you is of a giant lazy slob -- but somehow you managed to look nicer than that in person -- must be your weight.." OR a subtle reverse psychology pressure telling me that I NEED to lose weight. In both cases, it always makes me feel icky (and I'm male - which means that the cultural expectations are quite different for me than for a female). And I NEVER make comments on people's weight because of this. yes!!! I completely get that! How old are you? Maybe its an age thing.

mine too! Who is your surgeon? thats a great question, my surgery is a few weeks before thanksgiving! Oh well I suppose where are you having your surgery?

I wear a 12W-13W please tell me i'll lose at least a couple shoe sizes after surgery!

hey!!! I've heard the EGD is easy and you don't remember a thing! I've never been put under but If I can do it you can! Id love to hold your hand through this. You're going to do great!!

Dating. & attention. I would love to hear about the difference in dating. If there is a difference. Im 21 so Im curious as to see what you post or vets are experiencing!

well I work about an hour at home so I usually don't get home until after 8pm I was finding that after having such a heavy meal and a decent amount of meat right before bed Always made me feel nauseous with a tummy ache in the AM. However this won't be anything long term, Its just something I wanted to try while detoxing. I have learnt so much on here already! Naomi I would love that!
