Ive been approved by my insurance. I have a high deductible plan that is almost met. I'm estimating that I will only have to pay around 700 or 800 dollars for this procedure just wasn't sure if the meds were included. I should be getting a call here soon to go over payment with someone from the office. Just hope they can take a smaller down payment instead of a large lump sum.

So with surgery near I'm kinda freaking out about paying for things. How much did u guys spend on medication and shots..and as far as paying for the surgery..how much were u asked to put down? (My bariatric center does payments) any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Waiting for approval was definitely the worst part buuut i have been approved my date is so soon!! 9.23.15 I can't believe it! Now I'm kinda worried about paying for medicine and my down payment for surgery yikes

If they said it was covered. It's called binding coverage. I work for an insurance company and I know if we tell someone something is covered and isn't we have to pay for it. Maybe it's the same for health insurance? Good luck.

My uhc case manager did state that she was out of the office when my paperwork came threw maybe that's the set back? Idk I'm not very patient either think I'm going to call tomorrow again and speak with my case manager. I hate the waiting game especially after doing all these different things in order to get it submitted. Ugh..

How long did it take for them to approve you? I've been waiting for 11 days I've heard people getting approved a lot sooner. I called today and they said it was still being looked over.
