  2. Dear Unhappy bandsters,

I just want to offer a word of encouragement to those of you who are struggling with your band. First I want to say congratulations for making the decision to take control of your weight. Second I am proud of each of you to realize what your feeling and reaching out for support here on lbt. Its so easy to just say screw it and give up on the band or become a band orphan. Someone with no support and feeling hopeless in your efforts, find someone to share your struggles with and who will be a positive influence on you. I have met a few people at a local support group that gained or even lost a very small amount and didnt start loosing for six months or more with the band. One lady lost nothing for the first 6 months and then just started dropping. She is nearly at her goal now. So it is possible. Continue please to seak out support, talk to your dr. office and staff, go see the nutritionist. You all know that the band is not a magic bullet like people in your lives think it should/would be, more than any of us I am sure. My thought and purpose in writing is just to say dont give up keep trying, hold your head high, and do what you need to do to be happy. Your worth it.

Good luck and God bless you in your effort.

    Gail

  3. I have to tell you something, I clicked on your link for your slide show and now I am sitting here crying. It is beautiful the way you have been transformed. You look so great and so happy it is wonderful. It is amazing how those of us who are banded can form such quick freindships and encourage each other thanks for sharing your slide show. even if that means I am crying like a baby now. lol

  4. I walk 4 miles a day. Although I had surgery a week ago and then another surgery the week before that, so I am seeing my surgeon today and hopefully I will get a clean bill of health and be back to my routine, I am going to have to take it slow at first I am sure. I would love to try cycling though, I never was able to ride a bike when I was heavier so now might be a good time to try it. Thanks, you never know I might go out and buy me a bike. lol thanks.

  5. Okay I am not your friend Tracey but would love to join your challenge. I have a particular motivation to get some weight off by October too. I would love to loose 2 lbs a week till then. That would put me at just 14 lbs to goal. Yeah me! Anyways thanks for the challenge and the extra motivation will help. I'll check in on Thursdays and let you know how I am doing you let me know too. I weigh on Thursday nights at a Tops group. Talk to you soon and good luck!

  6. Dear Bandsters,

Just wondering if I am the only person feeling like I am going through mid life crisis. I went to therapist and he said that loosing 95 lbs would put you into one. A lot like going through puberty and body changing, body image issues and finding out who you are in this new body. Also finding myself doing things and having thoughts, feelings I never before thought I would ever do or want. Anyone out there experiencing same thing?

    My thanks,

    Gail:confused:

  7. oh becky honey I feel for you. I think everyone here has personal hangups about our bodies. we would not have gotten banded if we were all in love with our bodies. I have one word of advice, lights off! lol maybe this message will find that your circumstance has changed and things are wonderful between you and your new love. But I would just ask for the lights off and let him feel his way around, or better yet taste his way around. lol

    Goodluck sweetie!

    Gail in texas too.

  8. This is for everyone out there that thinks you will never feel really sexy again. I am a little over 5 months into my band and have lost 66 lbs and regained my sexy little spirit! I feel as sexy now as I did when I was 18! It is wonderful (even a little bit scary). I catch men staring at me again. Of course my husband likes it too as he reaps all the benefits! I am so glad that I had lapband procedure and finding myself all over again. Here's hoping this little thread finds you feeling so sexy again too.
