I'm the 29th too

So I am hoping today was the last day ever that I had to ask for a seat belt extender in the airplane (with I swear everyone staring). It was like when I asked for it- the needle dragged across the record, the spot light was on me and everything else was dark, and I was speaking through a bullhorn. Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating but that's what it felt like. Then everyone's eyes looking at mine like please don't sit next to me. Not drinking anything in plane in case I had to pee and jam into the tiny toilet. Taking up part of my sons seat with him throwing a fit mommy why can't I sit near the window. Couldn't really say because mommy is too fat and needs part of your seat. Ughhhhh! Surgery is July 29. Couldn't be sooner!!!!!

I hope that's my last time!!! I won't even get into amusement parks. That's a whole other horror story...

Omg! I got caught doing that last year. The flight attendant made a big deal about it. Then screamed up to the attendant in front -hold on I need to get an extender. It was so embarrassing, since then I just ask when I walk in.... :0 Love the pic btw lol

Hello! Glad that you are here. I have similar situation... Have a 9 year old, big all my life, pcos, 38. I'm tipping 350 right now. Can't wait until my surgery - July 29. (Florida). It was supposed to be October but all of a sudden insurance lifted the 6 mo waiting period. So now everything is in rush mode- preop testing. But I'm not complaining! Let's getter done!!! I have never fit in gap clothes I went from kids right to plus it seems. So i would be happy just to see what that feels like ps also love the app (not a lot of people know what we go thru - but everyone here does)!

I'm going to order some now. Is it powder you put in broth? Is there a special way to mix it?

Yay! I'm July 29th. (Florida). Also nervous! Especially reading some of these July posts from the people that had it done earlier this month. Some doing great- some with some issues. Let's hope for great have my preop with pcp Monday, Tuesday with surgeon. Also have to sneak in a chest X-ray and EKG, blood work. It's coming up quick ! Next week I'll be busy ! And probably drinking liquids only :0 when do you start liquids?

Yay!!! You had it done! That's awesome. I worry so much about the pain after (I'm a big baby). Speaking of babies - I had a csection before does it feel worse than that (assuming you had one or does anyone know?). Did you have that X-ray thing yet where you have to swallow contrast media to see if there is a leak? Does your surgeon do that? And if so was it nasty/hard to swallow? Congrats for walking so much ! Yay !!!! Keep us posted. We are all nervous. I'm July 29.I had a c section before I go in on Friday thr 10th I will let you know if its as bad as that was (reminded me plz) Cool thanks and good luck

They shouldn't. I'm an RN and work on a post-surgical floor. We've had a decent amount of women on their period after surgery. Of course their's is due to a cancer diagnosis so it may be different, but I don't see an issue. I'll be close to mine as well. Omg me too! (I don't want to tell anyone bc I don't want them to cancel it!) it took too long to get the date and the time off work... (Just one more thing to worry about)!

Hi Naples ! 3 days to go here!I have 3 days til I leave to get sleeved! OMG omg I am nervous for u!! I wish u luck and for a quick and (mostly) painless recovery! Please check back in and tell me how things are going. (I don't go until the 29th). I have noticed myself doing "food funerals" but not on purpose. Accidental food funerals - probably self conscious. Like a bagel w cream cheese. And coke (I don't even usually drink coke but now knowing I might not enjoy it- I'm having more of it).

Are u from Florida too?Mostly just nervous lol I only have to do two days liquids starting tomorrow. I am originally from upstate NY. When is ur surgery? Hi Orlando !July 29 (nervous as heck)I'm July 29th too! I'm very nervous as well. I keep telling my husband to not let me back out no matter what I say - I've worked too hard for this! Yay July 29th! 10 more days yay! What are you planning to drink for liquids? I am also nervous about the liquid phase. My surgery is on the 29th.I have to do 4 protein shakes a day that I'm mixing with unsweetened almond milk, sugar free clears (popsicles, jello) sugar free gum, fat free broths, 1/2 cup non strachy veggies a day for chewing. I plan to mix them with my broth to make "soup"Good luck with your surgery! That's a great idea. Are you hungry so far? What protein powder did you end up getting? I like the synthrax nectar fuzzy navel. I am looking for an unflavored one for soups or jello. Good luck with your surgery too. I may check back in w u post op to see how it went? (If that's ok). I have like no pain tolerance and am quite scared. I've had a c section before wonder if it hurts more, less, or the same with this? I am sort of hungry, but I think it's all mental at this point. It doesn't help that I'm at work and there's pizza and cupcakes in the breakroom (I'm an RN so we often get treats from patients).I'm using baraitric fusion, but I've never tried their unflavored one. Is bariatric fusion flavored? What do you mix it with? I am a nurse practitioner that works in a hospital and I notice there are a lot of food pushers around, be strong! Do you have to have surgery where u work? I do I bet that's gonna be sooooo awkward!

So.... How much did it hurt?I was able to walk around and eventually out of the hospital under my own power with no wheelchair like 6 hours after the surgery started. In and out. I was in pain for a few days afterward, but I avoided the heavy duty meds the gave me and took children's Tylenol and gas X. The only pain I really felt was the incision sites and a little gas. I had the band surgery. The other surgeries may be different. Wow that makes me feel better! Thanks

I also work in the hospital - it sucks bc the people doing my surgery are people I know (so awkward)! When is your date? Do they do a foley ?

Hello! I am new to this forum and I am scheduled July 29th in Florida. Soooooo nervous. Also wondering how I am going to get thru the preop liquid diet. I have had issues my whole life following any kind of diet... So a liquid one sounds tuff!
