  1. 1) used to like eggs and water...don't have the same taste doc told me that could happen with certain people but they don't know why- they just told me to keep trying them

    2) sometimes I feel like my stomach rumbles but I'm not hungry - usually when I wake up so a few sips of my Protein Shake and my stomach feels better ( I'm 6weeks postoperative

    3) I just had the regular sleeve

  2. Thankfully my surgeon had a required class for all patients and a packet we signed stating we read it- in it they talked about depression, regrets, social issues etc. - I knew what I was getting into and I'm now thrilled I did it- getting over that hump when you see the results will help...I also tell everyone what I did and thankfully most people are supportive and understand when I may pass on going out to dinner and meeting up afterwards for the movie ????hang in there it gets better and you'll be so happy!!

  3. Yes!! I was sleeved on June 10 and have lost 25lbs. At first I lost 18 lbs quick- afterwards I had a stall of 3 weeks and then slowly 1lb here or there...I have a digital scale so I'm now at 206.2.... That .2 just kills me- this stall and slow progress plays tricks on my mind as to whether or not this is going to work! I'm about 45lbs from my goal so I know I don't have as much to lose as others but it's still difficult

  4. Ha! I too don't snore anymore- I was sleeved on June 10th during my summer break but will be heading back to work in 2 weeks where I will be hit with major temptations :(

We're given Bagels and muffins every 2 weeks and kids just love to bring me sweets...last year I just told them I have diabetes and they were better about it- first lab work to see if my diabetes is gone...hopeful - starting weight was 231 now 207 so about 24 lbs

All in all feel great and can eat pretty much everything except bread Pasta etc- having hard time with what to eat as I'm picky- my biggest regret was not measuring myself preop as I feel I'm losing more inches than pounds...socially it's the hardest thing I've done because life just revolves so much around food :( had my stall and now I lost 1lb so I'm hoping it just continues- HATE to exercise and I'm not consistent but I've got to do it- everyone in my house eats like crazy so I'm learning to deal with that too- hopefully a year from now we will all look back at this and see how far we've come!

  5. You're being way too hard on yourself! Just keep going and don't give up! I was sleeved on June 10th and have only lost 23lbs...my concern is menu options. I'm so not creative when it comes to eating so I'm afraid I'm getting bored eating the same things...wish there was more guidance to menu creations

  6. I was sleeved June 3. I've lost 50lbs since my pre-op diet started. At three weeks my weight loss stalled. Then I lost about 5 more pounds. Now I have stalled again. I'm staying the course, but I would like to see more coming off. Getting Water and Protein in is a full time job. Exercising takes even more time. I'm relying on the testimony of others that more will come off.

  7. I ate nuts 3 weeks post-op. I buy these little containers that come with chopped turkey or chicken, chopped cheese and a few nuts usually almonds- I take these little packets with me whenever I travel- they let me in a baseball game with them and are a lifesaver- they have anywhere from 12-17 grams of protein!! Forgot the name but you can find them usually in the section where they sell lunchables- they are long rectangular containers - good luck!
