  2. Looks like OP is no longer a member. People who post these cries for help and then disappear scare me. Hoping she is okay. ????

  4. I just did dr v on the 7th. It was fine. He is a nice guy and I have never met nicer nurses. I had to go back to get two stiches over my drainage hole, but I am on day 3 post op and feeling fine.

  10. Anyone visited the Cancun pharmacies? Good deal on dissolvable pain meds? Did nurses visit you the night of surgery? I found this annoying when I got my appendix out, but now I am hoping for it.

  12. Lol... Dr stranger mcmessageboard
  13. I am self pay so I will still be approved by the surgeon if I go a little lower. I went from for 40 to 39 bmi during the first week of pre op. I think you should actually work on the proper pre-op diet to increase the chance of pre op success-which means you will drop a few lbs. Wear tons of clothes for the weigh in, wear all your jewelry, an actual pound of makeup, lean to right if it's an old fashion scale, think heavy thoughts, put you hands on your hips????????
  14. I have had h-pylori before, the drugs knocked me out. You make me nervous. What if I have something like that when I get to Mexico? I have been washing my hands and taking vitamins, but like txcoon I might not be having symptoms of anything.

  18. I am near downtown Fort Lauderdale. Surgery August 7!
  19. I am on day four and I broke down and had lettuce and cucumbers with fresh squeezed lemon , salt and pepper. It tasted like Christmas!!! My coordinator told me it was ok. I was so obsessed with food and my hunger that I started forgetting stuff at work.
  20. I have had that feeling that I need to tell morbidly obese people about bariatric surgery. I feel like I didn't know that the process and the cost could be affordable and I wish someone would have told me sooner, but I imagine that hearing this from a complete stranger would not be well received.

  22. I think that the thought of eating healthy has you feeling deprived. You are eating more unhealthy as a way of restoring balance. Stop thinking that you are going to feel deprived. Think that you will be satisfied with less and since you can't eat much you are gonna have put the right things in.
  23. Thank you; however, I am not on any medications right now so I am afraid to start any at this point. I was hoping for non- pharmaceutical remedies
  24. Already I have had to say that I have eaten already or just that I'm not hungry. It is amazing how much food is a part of social interactions. I don't think that I will stop going to things. I don't want to get depressed sitting at home alone all the time.
