  12. I took a cotinine test today and it was negative so as long as I stick with it I should be fine
  13. You may not even have surgery if they do a drug test preop for nicotine. My doctor will not do surgery if you have nicotine in your body. And yes they can do that. I highly suggest you never have another cig before surgery. I am not being mean but honest. Hopefully if you can quit prior to surgery, you can quit for good. I know it is hard, been there done that. Good luck! HUGSI don't plan on having anymore, I can't afford to fail a test if they do one, I need thus surgery. Since it was only a few after having it out of my system I figure it will probably be gone by today actually, hopefully.

  15. Are you drinking too much at one time maybe
  16. Your life will change forever, it is normal to be nervous, scared, excited, worried, and second guess yourself. But don't let those nerves change your mind. Almost every person I have ever asked said they didn't regret a think and would do it all over again in a heartbeat. I am right there with you and going to have surgery soon. It's hard to imagine life any different than we are used to so it kinda tends to take over our thoughts.
  17. Good luck hun how exciting, I should be having mine within the next two weeks or so, waiting on an appointment to see the surgeon to schedule me
  18. I have surgery in a week to two weeks (date hasn't been determined yet) and I am struggling with quitting. Believe it or not I quit for a month started up again for 3 weeks, then off a week, then had a pack, off for 5days had 4 cigarettes, now 2 days without. I can't keep going back and forth but hell it is hard. I am using a 0mg nictotine vape and it helps but the mental urge is the problem. Idk if I will be tested before surgery or not, but I do not want to take the chance and continue smoking and possibly being turned away for surgery. What scares me the most is as soon as they put you under anesthesia they know you are a smoker because you will have a difficult time maintaining a certain oxygen level.
  19. That is very true, these days it seems like you save a buck but gain a pound with all of the processed foods being cheaper than healthier alternatives
  20. Wow 180lbs is an amazing accomplishment. Ill be honest I cant loose more than 10 to 15lbs without getting discouraged and throwing in the towel. It seems I have never felt I was worth investing the time in.
  21. Soo true, I honestly cant even picture my body 100lbs lighter

  25. I am also afraid of not being happy with the way I look after. I also worry I won't ever be happy with the way I look no matter what.
  26. Crossing my legs again, being able to make it grocery shopping without being exhausted, buying sexy undergarments and lingerie, having my husband pick me up when we kiss, not having to tell people I skipped a meal as an excuse for wanting to eat when no one else is, keeping up with my kiddos, taking the kids out to do more activities, start accepting offers to birthday parties or gatherings with friends that I would otherwise be uncomfortable going to, the list goes on and on
  27. I heard chap stick is a big one and a pillow too Happy re-birthday, that is cute I like that
  28. Thank you for sharing your story that means a lot. It feels better to know I am not the only one who has had negative feelings about myself on this journey.
