  1. Same here -- I've been sticking to Soups, shakes, pureed foods. I can do scrambled eggs & refried Beans if I thin them out with veggie broth first. I tried a veggie stew the other day and was too chunky and made me vomit. So I've been just sticking to softer foods.
  2. I had a holiday potluck to go to 1 month post-op and made a 5 layer bean dip to bring. I thinned out the refried Beans with veggie broth and added shredded cheese, mild salsa, sour cream and home-made guacamole for the layers. I bright tortilla chips for others and nobody seemed to notice that I just scooped a little for myself and ate with a spoon.
  3. Ii am sorta feeling that way -- I feel like when I added a Laughing Cow wedge each day, my progress slowed.
  4. Try TVP (textured vegetable protein) -- it's fake meat and has lots of Protein. Comes in crumbled styles (similar to ground beef) and is great in stews, sauces, etc.
  5. Have Hashimoto's and hypothyroidism is a side effect. Was sleeved 11/5 and down 37 lbs since starting pre-op diet (2 weeks prior to surgery) -- so far so good!
  6. Sleeved on 11/5 and going to a potluck next week where I have to bring an appetizer. Any thoughts??? Will be transitioning from puréed phase to soft foods... Thanks!
  7. Go for it! Am a lifelong vegetarian sleeved on 11/5. Have found it easy to get enough protein from shakes, beans, dairy, eggs.

  13. Have narrowed my options down to the following -- all are BLIS approved, which is important as I'll be self-pay. I'll also be flying in for the surgery. Has anyone used any of these options and can share their experience? Western Rockies Surgical Center http://www.coloradow...gastric-sleeve/ Denver, CO $12,500 Blossom Bariatrics http://blossombariat...om/out-of-town/ Las Vegas, NV $12,500 Center for Surgical Weight Loss at Lake Norman http://www.lnrmcsurg...weightloss.com/ Mooresville, NC $13,000 Thanks for your help!
