  1. Had set a goal on wanting to hit 100 pounds lost by Christmas... needed to get down to 325. Knew early in the week it would be hard to get there, so I dreaded stepping on the scale all day. Got on late last night and was 325.2, so I'm rounding down and claiming victory!

Early in my surgery career and for quite a time after, I also was martinet about the numbers to the right of the decimal point. At some point, though, people need to recognize the lunacy of being such sticklers about it. Do a few tenths of a pound really mean anything when we're talking about losing 100 or 200 pounds or more? Yikes, what are we thinking. GoBlue, you made your Christmas goal. No explanations needed. GoYou.
