  1. Can anyone tell me about diet soda? Are we allowed it or not? I am really craving and missing my diet soda!
  2. I was banded on December 22 and go for my first fill in February. On Saturday I started the mushy stage and have been having oatmeal, low calorie mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs. Will there be any limitations after teh first fill? Will I be okay to start the regular diet? I am scared that I won't chew enough. I want to do everything right. I am exercising and have lost 15 pounds so far.
  3. I was banded on December 22 and am getting my first fill in February. I am gong away the day after the first fill. Is this okay? Will I feel okay? Will I be able to eat?
  4. I was banded in December. I was on liquids for two weeks and on Saturday started the mush stage. I have had scrambled eggs, low cal mashed potatoes and oatmeal. I am going to stick with this for two weeks. It is hard as I still have all my normal food feelings but want to make this work. I was even at a baby shower on Saturday and ate nothing. I start the real diet on January 19th. I am scared to start and hope to do all the proper chewing. I don't have my first fill until February 7th. I still get shoulder pain in my left arm..is this normal? Also I feel like I don't swallow right..like I can't anymore...is this in my mind?
  5. Can you eat normal after your first fill or are there restrictions?

  7. I was banded a week ago. Things seem to be going pretty well so far. I have lost 14 pounds. Next Saturday I start the mushy stage. Do you have any suggestions. I live in Orange County, CA. I am excited and a little scared as I begin this new chapter. How much have you lost and what is now a typical day of eating for you? Please share what will work and what will not work. Happy New Year!
  8. Thanks for your response. What did you eat during the mush stage? Also what is a typical day of eating after the mush stage? You know the way of life you eat now...
  9. I was also banded on 12/22. Feeling okay..just still very sore in the stomach and chest. Going to see the DR. today. I have some questions. Want to know what I can eat during the mushy stage... I wake up hungry right now in the liquid stage????
  10. Thanks for all your help. No, I don't feel that my DR. was as informative. Going to see him today and have a laundry list of questions. Bakes chips in a few months???
