So I'm two weeks out... I was 290 before surgery!!! I'm currently 268 so I'm down 22 lbs in 2 weeks. I'm starting soft foods and kinda lost of what to have... I don't eat fish or seafood of any kind including tuna, hate cottage cheese. Been having eggs, lunch meat. Was told I can have steamed boiled vegetables... I so want some cooked broccoli and cheese!!!
Also I hate yogurt... tried finding sugar free custard at Walmart last night but didn't have any.

Today is my 2 week post op (June 29) and I am now cleared to swim and eat mushies and I am so glad to be able to get Protein from other sources than shakes BUT I have felt guilty all day every time I put something in my mouth thinking I am overdoing it.
Here is what I had all day: A banana for Breakfast, 1 egg scrambled with moz cheese and mushrooms for lunch and 1/2 hamburger patty for dinner (no roll) plus Water in between meals. I'm down 25.5 since my pre-op diet (15.5 since surgery). My husband thinks I'm crazy and says I'm doing great. I'm guessing I will get used to eating real food and that guilty feeling will go away.
U can have hamburger at 2 weeks out???

Awesome because I'm so picky. I love cooked broccoli and green Beans. I think peas, corn, and asparagus are ok. It won't hurt me if I have never have corn again. I love salads wit tomatoes, and Italian dressing. I absolutely love chicken breast, I don't eat dark meat chicken. I refuse to eat any fish or seafood. I mostly eat chicken and beef. Only pork wise I eat is bacon and ham. So it very limited the foods I will eat when I am ready for normal foods.
My favorite meal is tacos? I wonder if I will ever eat that again?

I would like to be part of the group I was just sleeved!!!

Yea I just see some people say they eat everything like before wasn't sure how true. But I have looked up alternative ways to fried chicken by doing it a oven baked way. I'm gonna start playing with recipes when it's time!!! My Dr skipped pureed foods. I have 14 days liquids, 2 weeks soft foods, then introduce new meals. I definitely plan on staying away from carbs such as bread, potatoes, and rice!!!

Mine is 38f but from the pics it looked like it was sticked really tight over the staple line so I think my restriction is more like a 34f

How many days were you post op to start eating normal foods? Such as spaghetti without the noodles, baked chicken and vegetables, and etc?
Do you enjoy all your favorite meals post surgery from before surgery just in a smaller quantity? Does anyone ever eat pizza or fried chicken ever again just in a small quantity?

I'm so ready to eat real food again all I've been doing thus far is sugar free pudding, Water, apple juice, and my Premier Protein shakes. I am one of the pickiest people ever I hate cottage cheese yogurt and fish so I'm really concerned about the soft food diet.

I had surgery a week ago. I had quite a bit of pain the first 4 days and on the 5th day I surprisingly felt alot better. I haven't had to take pain medicine I'm getting more and more Protein and Water in. My tiredness has let up alot although I still feel like I could use a little more energy. I'm so ready for our journey.

I had surgery on June 30th and I have been super exhausted... today is the only day since my surgery that I didn't nap. I actually did the dishes, folded laundry, helped cook for my family dinner this evening(my sister lives with me and my husband and she has been taking over everything while I'm recovering) so it felt better to get that bit of myself back. I find I have more energy in the prior days I also haven't taken any pain medication today so that's probably helped. Looking forward to the coming weeks and months!!!

How did everything go for you?Got moved up to June 30th. They had a cancellation!!!
Thanks it went good... very little pain now I just get really tired. I'm not really hungry but find myself missing foods especially with the holiday. Trying to get enough fluids and I keep working on it. Ready for the upcoming weeks and mths!!!

I have a ninja I use to blend my shakes. I use the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chocolate powder with a tablespoon of PB2 and 1 cup fat free skim milk and 1 cup ice... I love my shakes. I'm only 4 days post op. I use a shaker bottle.
Gonna look into getting a food scale so when I'm on soft foods I can weigh what I eat. I also am gonna use my fitness pal to track calories

I was sleeved June 30th and I have been at a stall fluctuating 2 lbs up and then 2 lbs down. I dont hardly eat and I make healthy choices. I just got my period after 2 mths. I'm starting to get really discouraged. I think I am going to start doing 2 shakes for Breakfast and lunch, have the p3 Protein Snacks, and have a real dinner and see what that does. My highest weight was 294, starting weight right before surgery 288, and current weight is 265. I'm 5 ft 7 in
