  1. I have the same fear, like I'm going to work so hard and get no where..I pray that is not the case. So far nothing tastes good and I'm unsure if if I'm hungry or satisfied, not used to the feelings yet. I'm wondering how in the world I'm going to get in all this Protein in one day!? Any advice?

Well, it's almost here. Tomorrow is my surgery day.

I'm hoping and praying that it goes well.... the pre-op diet has been a breeze for me so far, other than a little diarrhea I'm doing great. Let's hope that the surgery and recovery (and weight loss ) goes as smoothly.

My only fear: That I'll be that one in a million patient who does everything right, and doesn't lose weight.

Any final words of wisdom from the veterans will be greatly appreciated!!

best of luck to you! Be sure to update us!

  2. Ok

I'm at the beginning of my journey but still can already see progress being made! Just over 4 weeks post op and down 15lbs from date of surgery and 35 lbs down since beginning Preop diet in April!

did you swell at first, so that it appeared you had not lost anything? Just had mine done 3 days ago, scale hasn't moved yet :-(
It's common during the first few days not to see any scale movement. You've just had major surgery. Concentrate on healing and following the plan your Dr. gave you and don't worry about the scale for a while! There is definitely swelling from the procedure.
thank you! Yes I will definitely just concentrate on healing but am very excited to see the scale move. Thanks for the help; -)

  3. Hi

I have had 2 ports replaced due to leaks cause by miss guided needles, and the others due to weightloss causing them to break free of the stitches that where holding them in place and my body rejecting them and causing lost of Fluid build up around the spot theye where.

In 2002 I had 5 operations to fix my port they decided in the end to remove it and let my body recover and fight the infection it had from it all.

That was July so over 12 months ago now in the mean time I have had my Tummy Tuck done which was called a half TT due to scars on my tummy they wouldn't go up as high due to blood flow worries they normaly go up to the ribs when they release the skin and fat from the muscles under it, but on me they could only go up half way to the ribs so I still have some loose skin there but hell don't have that spare tire around my waist that rolled over my belt a long way.

Hell it was a big tire as I have lost 300 pounds so far and want to still loose more I had the TT done earlier than Normal to get the port replaced, as it was the loose skin that cause last years problems.

Anyway if anyone has a question /s just ask OK

  6. 3 months down and 60 lbs later. I feel like a whole new person. Life has never been so amazing. I seriously doubted my decision the first month. It was the hardest season of my life so far. But so so SO worth it. And I'm no where near where I need to be yet!!!

Hi you look great! I'm almost due for my surgery, just a few days left. Would you mind telling me why you feel the 1st month was so hard? Just so I know what to expect..
