  1. one of the things that was allowed on my post op diet was coffee & tea....so, i dont think coffee has any effect on the band. i think it just depends on the dr.
  2. hey Crazy...you're right our #'s are about the same. i think i'm done losing all my pre-op / post-op diet weight. now the real work begins. i'm 5'3 and i would love to reach 140 lbs.:thumbup::mad:
  3. after you blend the chili ...its considered as a soft / puree food, it went down great
  4. a magic bullet is a a mini blender / chopper / gadget...its great for puree foods and smoothies
  5. sorry to hear about that Mac, like you said it will all work itself out. it would have been nice if someone would have advised you, that surgery might not be covered....but hopefully it was a mistake on their part. good luck w/everything!!
  6. Today I started my mushy / soft food. I put chili in my magic bullet...then topped it w/a little sour cream and cheddar cheese....it was delicious.
  7. i loved ww's ...it was a really good program for me before i was banded, havent tried it since. if you were told to consume 12 to 16 pts per day...thats 600 to 800 calories a day. the calorie count is different for folks that are banded from those that arent, obviously we cant consume as much food. so, this amount of calories might work for you. good luck!!
  8. Thanks for the bit of info...Spidey!! Sounds delicious (will be adding sour cream to my next cup of soup)...i need to find potatoe soup, havent tried that one yet.
  9. Just curious ...has anyone started exercising yet!!?? I was banded May 8th...started my exercise routine on May 18th...walking 2 miles a day!! Let me know what you guys are doing or what you guys have been doing.

  11. hey guys!! this is what i've been eating breakfast - cup of coffee & a choc protein shake lunch - 1/4 cup tomato soup dinner - 1/4 cup tomato soup snack - sugar free popsicle and i take my chewable vitamin drink water and tea thru out the day i'm gonna start eating mushy foods this week. :rolleyes2::smile::thumbup:
  12. i was told to leave the incisions alone and let the steri strips just fall off.
  13. i must say i've experienced the same problem you have and that is not telling anyone....only 3 people know that i've had this surgery and 1 of them found out by accident. i've tried having this surgery 2 times before and both times have let my parents talk me out of it. so, then i finally decided to do it before my insurance approval expired. i'm blessed that the surgery went great and i came out of it w/hardly no pain. like you, i dont want to be judged or asked why are you eating this or that and constantly asked how much weight have you lost. so, i understand how you feel. i'm so excited for you and your surgery and i cant wait for our weight loss and healthy lifestyle success!! good luck to you!!
  14. I will miss pizza and homemade mac and cheese!! But hopefully we still might be able to eat tiny portions of our favorites every now and again.
  15. I was just wondering....when all of us are ready to go back to eating normal foods, what type of diet are we supposed to follow. I been reading several boards some say 1200 to 1500 cal...low carb high Protein...some follow weight watchers....some do low calorie low fat. Does anyone know??? Just curious. I would hate to gain back my lovely pre op & post op pounds, once I introduce real food back into my diet. :hurray: :grouphug: By the way we're all doing awesome congrats on everyones success!!!! __________________ start/current/goal 289 / 271 / 140
