I could not and was not going to jump through hoops for Aetna. I'm going to self pay and be done. I'm just so over Aetna!!!

I was never a huge pop drinker, but a good, cold Blue Moon.... Oh my God!! Especially during football season. I should have my date soon and I already know that this will be a challenge.

Moderation in all things that you eat is key.

I don't blame you one bit.

None of it bothers me at all. Just keep scrolling.

Three months? Super!!!

Guilty? Nope! I have been thin almost all of my adult life. Stress eating for the past 3 years has taken its toll and I have had it. I'm not about this plus size life. I can't imagine being this heavy any longer than I have to be. I don't want my minor health issues to turn into severe ones. I'm praying for a safe procedure, a good recovery, and staying on track for life. Key word... LIFE! I'm recognizing my over-eating triggers and I'm working on that as well. Best of luck to you.

Hello all! Finally got my surgery date today! August 3rd and I am so excited to start this journey!
Good luck to you all!
I'm hoping to have an early August date. I should know after my stress test.

I'm not telling my boss crap. He is a real "motor mouth!" I don't even know how he was ever promoted to supervise anyone. If he knows, the world will know. I'll just have my FLMA papers and short term disability papers in order. All he will know is that I'm out and now I'm back. Period.

@@emtscott54 , speaks only the truth - couldn't have said it better myself
now a silly tv story/joke
caught an old episode of The Mary Tyler Moore Show on tvland
series is at least 30 years old - many of you weren't born!!!!
boy do i feel old
mary was talking to her friend Rhoda (who is overweight) she offered rhoda something to eat
rhoda said no thanx, i have to loose 15 lbs by 8:00 pm for my date!!!
think there's a little analogy there
one day at a time
you'll get there
"God Grant Me Patience Just Hurry Up About It"
fellow students might enjoy watching/ being with you through your transformation
they might say, ahhhhhh, i remember him when!!!
good luck
kathy
I was not born when that show was on, BUT I have seen the reruns. It's one of my favorite old school TV shows. Thanks for posting about it.

Do you have a surgery date yet?
I have one more test to be done so I'm sure we will schedule after that.

Hi, I used Dr David Kim in Colleyville, TX. He also has a office in Frisco. Not sure where you are located. He did my inverted sleeve 3 years ago and he is a great doctor. His staff has been extremely helpful to me as well. I haven't had any complications at all other than having to have my gallbladder out. The after surgery support has been incredible. Kim Bariatrics has monthly support groups, fitness events, yearly patient Christmas party, 5k/10ks, along with many other get togethers. If it wasn't for the after surgery support I would have not been successful. If you have insurance with a bariatric exclusion there is a Making Bariatrics Affordable discount program for $4900 if you have a hiatal hernia. Do you have insurance? He also works with travelers as well. You may give them a call to get more details.
Looks like it will be Dr. Kim with the hiatal hernia for the win!

Great news. So inspiring. ???????????????????? Keep it up.

I do not want my intestines re-routed. The sleeve seems like the simplest option. I'm nervous enough to as it is.

100% cocoa butter is my go to. Has never failed me.
