@@jas84047 thanks for updating us. I hope you continue to improve with the antibiotics. I am on day 2 of the liquid diet and doing ok except for a massive headache. I hope it gets better.

I have seen a few posts on Facebook where people have named their sleeve. If you have what did you name it? The most interesting one to me so far is Frankensleeve.

BCBS of CA takes 5 business days or less to approve, mine was submitted July 1 and approved the 7th even though they were closed 7/3. It does take them 48 hours after approval to fax it though

I have to do clear liquid and protein shakes for a week starting tomorrow. Then post op it will be full liquids for 2 weeks after the first meal of clear liquid. My NUT says the isopure ready to drinks are definitely clear liquids.

Im so excited for you have you started the pre op liquid diet? You can do this!! I have my pre op appt tomorrow and I start my liquid diet on the 3rd. You are doing so good so far!

I plan on taking a week

Well I kinda want to eat like **** until I have to do liquid diet, but part of me wants a head start. I also thought of shakes for breakfast and dinner and a food funeral for lunch everyday.

I am supposed to do a 1 week protien shake and clear liquid diet, but I want to do something the week before that too, which starts Monday. I would love specifics on what some surgeons use as a pre-op if they don't use just the shakes and Clear liquids. I have heard something about just high Protein low carb, but want specifics. Thanks in advance.

I am August 10th too! I start my liquid diet on the 3rd

I am trying to decide the same thing right now. My pre-op appt is on the 28th and I have to start my liquid diet on the 3rd. Trying to decide if I start easing into the liquid diet on the 28th (2 shakes and a meal) or have all my favorite foods that week.

Was approved 7/7 and surgery is 8/10

I went to buy my grandson a sippy cup and ended up buying a set of 2 oz containers designed to make your own baby food and sto inthe freezer. i thought these would be great for post op. I also bought a set of Fresh Starts 1 cup chilled containers with removeable ice packs. They have a 1/4 cup line, a 1/2 cup line, and a 1 cup line in them and they also have reusable removable ice packs that fit in the lids. I live in Mapleton. I am pre-op waiting for a surgery date. I am really frustrated by their office because they acted like they could work with my desired timeframe, but here I am almost a week after getting insurance approval waiting for them to get me scheduled for surgery.

I am just really mad because the staff at the office led me to believe they could schedule as soon as I had my approval and now they recanted and say it had to go through an internal office process first.

#WL Warrior I have nagged my surgeons office. Nothing I do makes them hurry one bit. waiting sucks.
