I have lost a total of a total of 38 pounds 18 of it on my pre op diet the past 2 weeks. I have to be at the hospital by 10 am and my surgery is scheduled for noon. Good luck everyone

I am just spending the day with family and doing some housework. Went to the grocery store last night and stocked up on stuff I would need when I get home. Tomorrow we are having a family day

I go from being super excited to scared of what could go wrong. Everyone keeps telling me it will be fine. But my mom who I would say is my best friend doesn't really approve of my surgery so I can't talk to her cause she will just tell me if I'm scared not to have the surgery.
It's at night when I get more scared of the surgery and complications when I am putting my son to bed. All I keep thinking is I have to be here for him. If something goes wrong will he even remember me. He just turned 2. He is the main reason I want the surgery so I can get healthy so hopefully I can be around longer for him.

I am having surgery Monday also and have a 2 year old boy to take care of who well exceeds the weight limit I am allowed lifting. So hopefully things go smoothly after surgery. He has been pretty clingy the past couple of weeks only wanting me so this will be interesting. Good luck!

I know it sucks but just follow your diet. I am also on my pre op diet just finished my 4th day. I am allowed 4 Protein shakes, a lean cuisine meal under 300 calories. I am also allowed to snack on non starchy veggies. It does eventually start to get better. Good luck

Has anyone used carnation Breakfast high Protein? I am using Premier Protein but was wondering if the carnation Breakfast would be OK to switch it up with sometimes.

My seminar was last year. I have been working towards this for 14 months. I had to have a six month diet and then paper work was lost and other test needed done and they took forever to get scheduled. I am just glad I am at this point and have my surgery scheduled

I'm may 16th too!! I am from Ohio and will be having my surgery done at Osu. I start my liver shrink diet Monday. I am allowed 4 protien shakes, a lean cuisine meal, a small piece of fruit or a small salad with no dressing. This should be interesting

I think it just depends on your surgeon. I have to be on a liver shrink diet for 2 weeks. But I have an aunt who never had to do the liver shrink diet.
