Hi! I was wondering if anyone had had a band leakage and if so- how did they find out they had one? The last time I went to the doctor and told him I wasnt feeling any restriction, he recalbriated my band- removing all the fluid- and he told me that there was hardly any Fluid in my band and that it sometimes "Sweats off" has anyone hard of this? He refilled me and I feel restriction now... but I'm not sure if it feels like it is getting less each day or if I am just paranoid! :help:

Hidy Ho there my Marchie buddies!Merry Christmas.
Diana, Don't worry about what other people do or don't do. I can assure this is an individual journey with lots of support from our pals, but it is NOT a competition.
Glad you found us. FYI, come January first you'll see this thread stop and there will be a new one for the month...
XOXOXOXOX

White pants- thank you so much- I like the reminder of exercising throught the day... GEEZE you would think I would think of it being a Physical therapist! But I guess when its concerning yourself... I sometimes push myself aside !

Hi! how do you get your weight to show? Mine only shows what I have lost... Thanks!

Hi! I just recently found this website and I love it! I am so encouraged by what I have read. But I'm also a little sad- everyone seems to have lost so much more weight than me! I didn't feel restriction for the last 3 months and gained 5 pounds, then I got a fill right before christmas and I've lost that and then some! So Im very excited about the progress- I had just started eating things I couldn't before due to not feeling restriction and too much junk around for the holidays... and now I'm happy to say Im doing better! I just need to exercise though- when I get home from work (as a physical therapist) I'm just so TIERD and have a three year old! Any ideas on easy ways to get exercise in? I was thinking maybe the morning....

Hi! I'm so excited to find this board! I have been in a rut- but I went back to get my band "recalibrated" - when he removed the Fluid he said, "there there is hardly anything in here! "nd refilled me- I have been doing much better- he said that it had "sweated off".
-
Its ok- I have been there. I think you should go back right away for another tighetening. I had been doing really well- and then I stopped feeling stricture- and gained a lot back. My Doctor recalibrated my band- took all the Water out, and said that there was hardly any in there- that it had "sweated out" and he re filled me- I have been doing MUCH better. Its ok to feel depressed- Iwas too! I made appointments to meet with the dietition and the psychologist again and this REALLY helped as well! My doctor said- " I pay ALL these people to help you be successful- USE Them!!!" He also said that it was HIS job to make the band work and My job to use the tool he gave me... I hope this helps!

I was self pay- and have had no complications. But my doctors office said that those few patients that have had complications - the insurance company has paid for them. Hope this helps!

I paid for mine- It was WELL worth it! I believe my Doctors offices finances as well.

You can drink what you want- acording to my Doctor- just like the others said- some people can tolerate it and some can't. I drink diet soda with no problems- and no stomache expansion. You don't want too much alcohol, however, becuase of the calories.

naa- you'll loose a lot more! go for it! I have really been happy with my results so far! Its just that it is easy to cheat with high calorie liquids you have to remeber its a tool, not a total solution. You do FIll up WAY earlier and you can even throw up if you eat too much or to fast- a huge reason not to do so! Good luck!

Hi! I just found this website- very cool. I have had the lap band surgery and had to pay out of pocket- BEST money ever spent! I have lost 40 pounds- although this time of the year has been hard! Anyone else struggling? Thanks! From Walton Kentucky
Is it possible to shrink your pouch if you think you've stretched it out?

it too late to save myself from me?:help:
I think you should consider getting your band recalibrated- I jsut had all my Fluid removed and redeposited and I feel much bettger restriction- I was in the same boat- I have also lost about 37 pounds and I had thought that I had stretched out mine as well- but I jsut needed the recalibration and now i'm back on track!
