  1. @@thinkingthin15 You're doing amazingly well!! Yay!! Now you can even drive to the store for more popsicles. LOL! So happy for you!
  2. @@Beckster82 I am all about sugar free popsicles right now!!! They hit the spot even if it's cold!
  3. @@TXTinana Oh, no! I am so sorry. I can understand why this hit you the way it did. Everything is so sensitive right now; you've been feeling cooped up and now you're left out of something you used to do. I know you know this, but the day will come when you'll be able to go with them to that restaurant again. Right now, we're so, so limited in our food choices because we're still healing. Though it may totally suck, we MUST heal. I'm stuck at home, too. I get it. You will get there. I promise. In the meantime, I'm sending big hugs. I understand and am right there with you. We're going to be fine.

    Sleeve vs. Bypass

Studies show that weight loss is more rapid with bypass in the first year, however, by year two, weight loss from the sleeve is the same as bypass. As OutsideMatchInside said, weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Once you've reached your weight loss goal, those numbers flip when you go into maintenance mode. Here's something I've heard from weight loss veterans...If you think losing the weight is hard, get ready. Maintenance is 10X harder.

    Pain under left breast

I'm sorry you're having pain. I had the same pain in the exact same spot. For me, it was gas. It felt like I had a bubble up under my ribcage and made it hurt to breathe. Gas-X might help, but walking is what helped me most with gas. Good luck!

    Whoa! Classification change

@@newbeginnings1965 I can't wait to be just "obese". Way to go!!! @@maggie409 I completely understand!!! I normally couldn't care less about labels, but this was jarring when I was deciding, too.
  7. Oh, my heavens!!! SO happy to see such wonderful progress. You're doing an awesome job!

    I don't feel scared... But....

I'm sorry your body is showing signs of anxiety. I suffer from anxiety and wrestled with it off and on before surgery. I hope you can talk to your surgeon. Come here to these forums and ask any questions you may have; people here want to help. Read posts by other people. Keep educating yourself. Above all...deep breath in, slowly let it out. Repeat. I hope you feel better soon!

    I GOT APPROVED!

    Whoa! Classification change

@@Daveo Thanks!! You are rockin' along beautifully! You'll be out of that classification before you know it! @@dsheive Thanks!!
  11. Hmm. Are you sipping shakes made from whey Protein? I wonder if you've become lactose intolerant.

    Chicken burrito puree

Thank you for posting this a couple of years ago!! This is the very first thing I'm going to make to eat once I'm in the pureed stage. Thank you SO much!!!!
  13. Happy, happy surgiversary!!! Good for you for kicking the tool to the curb! You're awesome. Sucks to be him. Keep on keeping on!!!

    Keeping a Positive Attitude

I'm so very sorry these last few days have been so scary and excruciatingly painful. What a credit you are to your profession! I pray you have a restorative weekend, and the road in front of you is not fraught with so many bumps.

    Two Days Post Op

@@Stephanie Tom You're doing well for only being 2 days out. Keep up the great work! @@ylluz You rock! At 4 days out, I can do one and a half premiere Protein shakes a day and about 30 oz of Water. I think I need to drink more slowly and I'd have an easier time getting everything in.
  16. @@lealor Your post cracked me up!! It perfectly described how I felt preop. Wishing you the very best of luck!!!
  17. I'm so glad you get to go home tomorrow if you can tolerate oral meds! You've been where you needed to be, though, bless your heart. You're not alone with the number 2 issue...I'm going to have to take something tonight. Ugh. Happy you're feeling better!
  18. Glad everyone is getting settled, although I wish none of us were having issues. I'd really love to get out of the house, but I'm still a little weak. When I do my 10 minute walks around the house, my legs get weak. I'm not usually a wuss...should I be walking much further since I'm not feeling too bad?
  19. @@thinkingthin15 Congrats! The gas pain is totally brutal. Walking as much as you can really does help. I almost always burp two or three times while I'm walking laps around the inside of my house...it's too hot outside. Keep us posted!
  20. Your surgery was done as outpatient? My surgeon requires a two night stay in the hospital. I thought that was pretty standard. I'm kinda shocked! Yep, outpatient. All of the WLS done by the doctors in the group are outpatient, unless there are complications. I missed having the good pain meds for an extra day or two!

    Prayers needed please

Sending up prayers and wishing you both the very best. Hugs from Texas to you both!
  22. @@Margie122 So glad you made it home ok! I hope your nausea is gone. @@shellyd67 Happy that there's minimal pain. I sure wish your heart rate would come back to a normal level. @@TXTinana The incision that hurts you most is the same one hurting me. I can't move without feeling it tugging. The bleeding has pretty much stopped. The gas pain is a, well, pain, huh? Ugh. Everyone, take care of you!
  23. Mini_me007

    Hello

Hope they call soon! Good luck!
  24. @@innerpeace90 I'm sorry about the severe gas and nausea, but so glad to learn you're feeling better now! Woo! Wishing you a great day!!

    Todays sleevers☆☆

I really hope today is better for you! Walking has helped with my gas pains better than anything else, but since you're blood pressure is low, you need to stay in bed and let them take care of you. Here's wishing you a much, much better day!
