  1. Thank you for asking this question. I will be leaving for TJ on Sunday, with surgery Monday, and I wondered the same thing. Good luck to the original poster and all of us.
  2. Hang in there! I'm slated for 6/22, and I'm sorry you were bumped a day. I thought I'd be less hungry after one pre-op week but not the case. The countdown continues! ????
  3. @JamieLogical I'm glad things went smoothly for you. We are getting picked up at the San Diego airport at 4:00 pm this Sunday, so things may go timely for us at the Marriott. I hope we get a room with a window, lol. We are spoiled in the United States. My hubby is going with me, so we will keep the same room the whole week which will simplify things for me. I'm so glad to have the info from peeps on this website!!! One week today for me for surgery!
  4. Thanks for the replies. One week to go before surgery. I leave for Mexico on Sunday. Feeling worried about this and that (work, not meeting surgery weight loss goal - four pounds to go, going under the knife, etc.), so that is great advice to pray, sleep, and get a massage. I am getting a facial on Wed.
  5. Good luck, good luck! I know I'm going to be anxious one week from today. Keep us posted.
  6. I will keep you posted! It was much better this weekend. Maybe my eye twitching is stress-related as I have a lot to do at the office before I take my two weeks off for surgery. However, I did buy a magnesium/zinc/calcium Vitamin to supplement as well.
  7. Very informative! Thank you. This is the first time I read anything about waiting on rooms at the Marriott. I'll now be better prepared for that.
  8. I did search on this forum and on google. I don't think my new onset right eye twitching is from stress, so it could be lack of magnesium. I hate to add one more pill to my growing medicine list. Did anyone else else experience this?
  9. A lot of the recommended powder ones seem so sweet to me since many have Stevia in them which, sadly, i don't care for or another sugar substitute. I hate all the vanilla ones that my nutritionist recommended. However, luckily, I do have one favorite (I'm currently on day 6 of my two-week pre-op Protein shake prep): Dymatize Elite XT Extended Release banana Nut. It is available on Amazon.
  10. Good luck to you, 3bzmom! How is your mother doing now?
  11. Eek! I hope I don't lose my taste for water!
  12. I'm June 22nd - it is coming right up! Good luck to all.
  13. Thank you so much for sharing what you learned from your PA, LauraEllen. That makes me feel better.
  14. Hello! I'm so glad I stumbled across this particular thread! I am getting sleeved on 6/22/15! I am doing okay on the liquid diet (thanks to seeing some scale downward movement). I have invested a small fortune in various Protein powders. I have been obese since about age 4. Like many, I have lost and gained, but never sustained. I'm hoping this tool, along with all the support and encouragement, make the difference. I'm blessed to be married to the most wonderful man who is totally supportive. To those who provided the lists above, thank you so much! I added several items to my shopping list. I'll keep in touch, and I hope you all do the same.
  15. Thanks for the description of the experience Miss. Mac. It makes me less nervous!
  16. Hello! Thank you for posting the exact same question I had. I lost three pounds total on my Atkins two-week post-op and I'm starting shakes only tomorrow for the last two weeks before sleeve surgery on 6/22/15. However, with my history of a chronic yo-yo dieter, I'm not all that surprised at my numbers. I LOVE the "body reboot" comment above. I'm going to focus on that and hope for the best.
