  1. I miss pizza. I've actually eaten pizza several times post-op, but I find that it's usually just such a waste. I barely eat any of the crust and even then I can eat maybe two slices. It's just doesn't satisfy me the same way eating like an entire pizza used to. So, I usually don't bother. It's so weird because there have been times in my life were I would literally eat pizza in some form or another every single day! Now I go a couple months, decide to try a little, remember why it doesn't work anymore and then skip it for another couple of months.

I had pizza last night and was so surprised and scared that I didn't feel full off of one slice. I stopped after that one though. Did you feel full from 2 slices?

  2. I am so grateful for your honesty, to know I'm not alone. I'm 4 weeks post op and my doc clearedvme for full solids. I've done very well. But we are on vacay at the beach with another family and we ordered pizza last night. I was so hungry. I ate a slice. I was amazed and terrified by the fact that I didn't get full off of one slice. I had a nightmare last night, that I had stretched my stomach back out and was not able to get full again.

  3. Sorry for the delay in updating. My surgery started 6 hours late. I was in a lot of afterwards. The dilaudid worked miracles in the hospital. On Sunday I was given the option to stay one more day or leave the hospital. I chose to go home. The loriatab elixir wasn't as good as the dilauded, so the pain was bad Sunday night, a combination of gas and one of the 4 incisions is pretty swollen. Extra strength liquid Tylenol seems to be working the best for the pain. My mom brought me some ginger root to suck on and it worked instantly for the gas. I haven't felt hungry, just craved food. I can't tell if I'm full because of all the gas and pain. I'm doing Clear Liquids until Saturday, when I will go to full liquids. Trying to move around regularly, but not too much. Thanks for asking for the update.

  4. Hi everyone, I'm excited to be a part of this forum and am thrilled there is such a thing! I'm 53 years old and have been dieting my whole life it seems. I weigh 240lbs and I am 5'5". I have a gastric sleeve surgery scheduled for July 10th and am excited and scared to death at the same time. My doctor is Dr. Keith Boone of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery Associates in Fresno, California. I have confidence in him and I hope to goodness my surgery goes as planned (laparoscopic). I look forward to posting and reading all of your posts regarding your journeys.

my procedure is today (7/10) too! We are the same height and weight, let's be friends!
