  1. Make sure you're eating enough carbs for the amount of exercise you're doing. All carbs are not bad. They're necessary for all bodies. Fruits, vegetables, some grains--like oatmeal--are important for a healthy lifestyle. Especially if you exercise so much.

Okay I will, believe me I don't avoid carbs for the most part, my twisted notion is if I avoided them all when losing in this phase than when i went to eat some after this phase my body would react to gain weight because my system was voided for this period of time, just my notion...

  2. How long ago was the blood work done? Even though it looked good then extreme fatigue can be a sign of low Iron.

You know it could be iron... I stopped taking it 1 month in... EXTREME constipation.....

My Multivitamin is the one without iron.... I will look into it, if it's Iron I will take it, no way around it if i need it... very possible....

  3. Are you getting enough Protein? Fluids? Carbs?

Have you talked to your NUT?

Maybe you are getting sick? The flu is late this year in the US.

Haven't talk to NUT yet... My Water intake may be too low, I wll try that immediately, will measure consumption. My Protein intake is roughly 100 grams, I still got a low protein reading in my last bloodwork...

  4. I am a sleever 10 months out, everything is great, weight dowwn about 70 lbs, workouts great 4 to 5 days a week... all is good...

All of a sudden last week my energy is zapped and I am sleepy in morning and middle of day when I am normally up and my most productive times of the day. Can't understand what happened all of a sudden, it is like I just crashed...

I take a Multivitamin and a Vitamin D pill, last visit to doc last month all bloodwork was great... again all of a sudden I am sleepy, this is not my norm, am I missing some sort of Vitamin all of a sudden?

  5. Nice work with your weight loss.

Unfortunately that skin is like a balloon (once you blow it up, and release the air, it is now stretched out) except we did it with fat.

If it is really bothering you, maybe one day get plastic surgery, otherwise wear it like a battle scar to show your triumph over obesity.

With all the pluses, this is minor!

  6. I am 3 years post-op RNY. I found that generally above my waist, I am pleased with my body shape. It is only below my belt, that seems a bit deformed. Since this area is normally covered with clothes, I don't consider it a big deal.

I went from a size 3XL in shirts down to a size small. I went form a size 46 in pants down to a size 32/33. I suspect that as you lose a little more weight, you may become a little happier and not need to consider plastics.

I think I will have that exact measurement when done. Never thought I would even get under an xl, but I have... never thought about a medium much less a small.

As far as being happy, no doubt, I am so pleased with progress, I am still in "HAPPY" shock!

    Thanks for input!!!

  7. Damn Stomach! Leave ME! The last Hurdle...

I am a man, work out with weights and aerobics 4 to 5 days a week, had sleeve, been about 8 months, down about 70lbs , almost at 200 lbs., 2 lbs shy....

Chest, shoulders, and arms are cut up. down from 4xl shirt to an XL... paints from 48 to 34...

Problem is my shirt size really should be and is a large but my stomach in it makes me feel fat because it is THERE... It makes me wear XL shirts which are huge around middle and makes it look like shirt is too big...

Weird to be feeling so thin and fit but that Damn Stomach is in the way!

Anyone got that problem? you can say work it out, I do, intensely but it is here mocking me... lol...

Food! I'm doing good, losing I feel pretty good...

Will it ever go, will I have to go into the 190's for it to hopefully go away...

I heard you can't direct where you want to lose, but this is errking me....

  8. ANYONE who does not get enough daily [Protein and Water will start to look gaunt - sickly, WLS or not.

5 years since surgery, and no one ever knew...never told anyone,\

My weight loss is old news, not many people remember when I was an out of shape fatty.

I too had to stop eating certain foods, but I told people I am changing my ways and starting to eat healthy....so nothing white, and that includes rice.

Im with you, its no bodies business. I never thought about that 5 years down the line people will have forgotten what i looked like prior, lol....

  9. MoJo119 I liked your post. I am 5 months out and have lost 55 lbs but seem to be plateaued around 200 lbs. My goal was to get to 150 lbs but I'm starting to wonder if that is a realistic goal given my stall. I'm following the food stuff really well, ski 2 days/week and do weights and core 2 days/week. The problem for me is with the stall I am starting to feel frustrated and feel like ccheating on my food (although I'm not). MoJo119 I am about the same height as you and before I had WLS I had a tough time getting below 185 even with starving myself and working out consistently. I saw your post and can imagine being in your shoes in 6 months.

Don't sweat the not getting beyond 185 before and failing, that is in the past...

I am 5 months out and 48 lbs down and have stalled like hell. I work out hard 5 days a week. Get the tape measure and take measurements all over. I guarantee that you are loosing mad inches all over the place.

I feel the same way at times but when I measure I know what is happening.

Stay the course and you will be in the 170's it just is gonna take you and I longer because of our lower bmi starting point.

I see some people are 5 months out and down 100 plus pounds, I then say what the hell am I doing wrong, it is nothing we are doing wrong, some people are well over 300 so they are loosing at a rapid weight.

Sounds like you are doing everything right, dont let it push you off center....

    Or me!

  10. I started with a BMI at about 40. Just less than 5'3 and 225 lbs. I lost about 30 pre-surgery and since my 10-7-2015 surgery I have lost 25 lbs. It is slow going. I am not the perfect patient. I track my food intake on MFP. I walk daily, usually 30 minutes and make decent food choices. It could be better. I now average about 2-5 lbs a month post surgery, pre surgery it was 10 lbs a month. I have lost inches too. I am about to hit the 160's and want to lose about 30 more lbs or so.

    You are not alone.

Great info, as I said earlier, this thread is my case... This is really putting my weight loss pattern into perspective!

  11. I am 3.5 months out and have lost 38 pounds.

I not only stall but go up and down with my weight. I have not had a consistent weight loss since surgery. This past week I had a 4 pound gain. Which I know is not possible because I eat 900-1100 calories daily and run 3-4 miles daily and strength train 2-3 days a week.

I only weigh myself once a week because I feel so discouraged.

But I know to stay positive because I have gone from a women's 20 to a size 14.

I was sleeved in August of last year, lost 46 lbs so far since surgery...

This is a good thread, I too forget I was on the lower bmi end at 36. I see others loosing 100 plus pounds in 5 months and i keep saying WT#...

I workout and treadmill 5 days a week and because of their high losses I temporarily lose focus.

You all have put me back in the correct perspective...
