  2. Okay I will, believe me I don't avoid carbs for the most part, my twisted notion is if I avoided them all when losing in this phase than when i went to eat some after this phase my body would react to gain weight because my system was voided for this period of time, just my notion... 6. You know, I starting increasing my rest, working out 3 days a week, skipping Tuesday and Thursday, believe it or not I do like that better. So I like that feeling, but as far as energy it is still zapped and I'm sleepy during morning and during the day... really weird since for last 9 months I have been a bottle of Energy.... 7. Damn Stomach! Leave ME! The last Hurdle... I am a man, work out with weights and aerobics 4 to 5 days a week, had sleeve, been about 8 months, down about 70lbs , almost at 200 lbs., 2 lbs shy.... Chest, shoulders, and arms are cut up. down from 4xl shirt to an XL... paints from 48 to 34... Problem is my shirt size really should be and is a large but my stomach in it makes me feel fat because it is THERE... It makes me wear XL shirts which are huge around middle and makes it look like shirt is too big... Weird to be feeling so thin and fit but that Damn Stomach is in the way! Anyone got that problem? you can say work it out, I do, intensely but it is here mocking me... lol... Food! I'm doing good, losing I feel pretty good... Will it ever go, will I have to go into the 190's for it to hopefully go away... I heard you can't direct where you want to lose, but this is errking me....

I think I will have that exact measurement when done. Never thought I would even get under an xl, but I have... never thought about a medium much less a small. As far as being happy, no doubt, I am so pleased with progress, I am still in "HAPPY" shock! Thanks for input!!! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

I hope you don't end up looking gaunt...

Im with you, its no bodies business. I never thought about that 5 years down the line people will have forgotten what i looked like prior, lol....
  14. Don't sweat the not getting beyond 185 before and failing, that is in the past... I am 5 months out and 48 lbs down and have stalled like hell. I work out hard 5 days a week. Get the tape measure and take measurements all over. I guarantee that you are loosing mad inches all over the place. I feel the same way at times but when I measure I know what is happening. Stay the course and you will be in the 170's it just is gonna take you and I longer because of our lower bmi starting point. I see some people are 5 months out and down 100 plus pounds, I then say what the hell am I doing wrong, it is nothing we are doing wrong, some people are well over 300 so they are loosing at a rapid weight. Sounds like you are doing everything right, dont let it push you off center.... Or me!
  15. I am 4 months post op and down 40 plus pounds, 270 to 225 or so. Work out and run/walk hard twice a week since week 3. Looking great as people tell me... All my Clothes are 3x to 4x. Last week l went to store bought a few shirts with wife and my size is now 1xl. Wife says l should be in this size and that my whole wardrobe is waayyyyy to be and I kind of look bad because I am no longer that size. I am so use to big clothes because I could hide my stomach, been doing it for 25 years, I am now 50. I got expensive shirts that I have owned put one on last night wore it to event. Went into bathroom looked in mirror and realized pocket on shirt was down on my lower part of stomach. I said okay, enough is enough. I stayed home from church this morning and looked in mirror and said, "Its time to turn the corner." I emptied out all closets and put all clothes in pile on the floor. Tried them all on first and they are all too big. I am contemplating putting them all in car and taking them all to the salvation army up the street. I have got to get rig of them or I will not turn the corner. I keep thinking this is like my yoyo diet and i will be back in them by June. It will take some time to get a wardrobe again and contemplating that after taking 20 years to build this one is daunting and quite frankly frightening... The surgery, my weight loss and the possibility of loosing 40 more pounds is a dream come true, a once in a lifetime dream come true... I think I know what I got to do but I was just looking for some confirmation of sorts...
  16. Great info, as I said earlier, this thread is my case... This is really putting my weight loss pattern into perspective!
