  1. Spreadsheet is great. I got the app so it is super easy to add our times. Awesome work!
  2. My cycle is regular which is awesome. I only lose weight the week I am on my cycle. Don't know why. I have PCOS so the normalcy is awesome.
  3. I try to get 10,000 steps a day/70,000 per week.
  4. I am just over 6 months out. My typical day is breakfast: scrambled egg and salsa with one piece of Canadian bacon. Snack: greek yogurt snack 2: turkey pepperoni with cheese Lunch: grilled chicken with veggies or soup Dinner: lean meat with veggies. I do have some carbs: mashed potatoes, crackers, popcorn, etc but in limited quantities. I can pretty much eat anything but in VERY limited quantities. I don't know what sliming is, but I have never gotten sick. I get full really quickly though. Sweets are difficult. If I partake it is VERY small.
  5. 1) Let everyone know what your weekly exercise goal is: I currently exercise 4 hours a week. Like to up this to 5 hours a week for the challenge period. 2) Let us know what your goal weight loss is for the challenge period (till 12/24) : Current weight 160 goal by 12/24 is 150. I
  6. i'm in! Current weight 160. Goal weight is 145. would like to be at goal by December 31. Not sure if I will make it as weight loss has been slow, but willing to try!
  7. I'm sorry you are feeling this way. You are only a month out though. It does get better. I have not ever had any regrets, but definitely frustrations. I've had a 3 week stall every month since my 2nd month. I am just over 6 months out and still only eat about 650 to 850 calories a day. I work out religiously at least 5 days a week. Surgery is a tool and there are many resources that can help in this journey. My surgeon, his staff, and my nutritionist have been amazing. I promise it gets better!
  8. I had my surgery when my baby was 6 weeks old! It feels great! I am just a little over 6 months out. The first few months weight came off easier. I went on birth control in July and it has slowed. I still average about 11 to 16 pounds a month, but usually only lose weight about a week and a half out of the month. Yay for new moms and getting healthy!
  9. I do the same thing on my treadmill days. I do classes 3 days a week and the treadmill 2 times a week. During class, it is easy not to focus on the clock but there is a clock on the treadmill! I focus on the songs and getting through the playlist! Good luck on your journey!
  10. I tried going up to 800 to 900 and still the same. Some days I get 600 some days I get 900. My nutritionist says it's just how my body responds. Just discouraging when my hubby is losing 1 to 3 pounds every few days.
  11. I am always truthful and say that I had weight loss surgery. I am not ashamed that I had surgery and I try to let people know that surgery is just the beginning. I always follow up by saying, I work out 5 to 6 days a week and eat clean. Your case may be different. People can be so rude. I am sorry you have to deal with women like that.
  12. Had my surgery on 4/27 so I am almost at my 6 month mark. I am down 125 pounds, but only 95 since day of surgery. I hit a stall every month! I actually only lose weight about 1 to 1.5 weeks out of the month. Now, I may lose 7 to 12 pounds in that timeframe, but that's how my weigh loss has been every month since I went on BC in July. It is frustrating to get on the scale everyday and then some days it says a pound higher. I say, "I only ate 650 calories yesterday and worked out for an hour, how could I have gained weight?" No clue! I don't know of the "honeymoon phase" everyone talks about. I have been working hard 5 to 7 days a week since week 2! I try to stick to high Protein and low carb plan.
  13. Thanks for the suggestions dlappjr. I've been using the premier Protein in chocolate or vanilla but having some other options is great. The chocolate mint sounds awesome! I also use unflavored
  14. my husband drinks one cup of regular coffee a day. I am still with the decaf. Before surgery I was the Coke Zero QUEEN! I was pregnant prior to surgery so I could not have caffeine. Now, I just don't want to feed the beast.
  15. My surgeon said that we can forget to take our supplements one time, but not on a regular basis. You NEED your protein! It is VITAL! My surgeon does a mal-absorption test at 6 months and then annually. These tests are crucial to see how your body is functioning.
  16. I weigh everyday...sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I am just about 6 months post op. It is frustrating though. If you can help it stay away from the scale. check in once a week or once every other week so you don't get frustrated. I only lost weight about one week a month. I don't change anything I do. I end up losing about 7 to 12 pounds that week to week and a half, but still frustrating. It will come off as long as you are following the plan. Good luck!!!!
  17. I've been stalling ever since week 3. My weight loss is so erratic. Part of me has just accepted it. I just keep on doing what I am doing: eating well, exercising, and getting my protein.
  18. It's great! We did Ruby Falls, the aquarium, and a riverboat cruise one day. I walked over 20,000 steps all while wearing my 18 pound baby! The next day we did rock city, the zoo, and some fun little shops downtown.
  19. I have to plan as well. Clothing size is a difficult one to plan. At the beginning of April I was wearing a 26/28 size 3x or 4x. Went on pre op diet and by my surgery at the end of April I was in a 24. I am now just over 5 months out and I am in a size 14 in pants and size L in tops. I've lost 120 pounds in total so there really is no way to tell. My ultimate goal is a size 8 and a size S or M in tops. Good luck with your surgery and shopping is so much more fun now!
  20. I have to agree with most of the responses on here. Your doctor was stating what he has heard. Every person is different. Of course, I WISH I could have just lost weight on my own. I wish I would never have been morbidly obese to begin with!! For me, the surgery has been the best decision I've made.
  21. Congratulations on making goal weight! For me, as soon as the item is too big it goes in a bin. When the bin is full, I give it away.
  22. I think you will find once you have surgery that it is easy to know when you are full. It is an IMMEDIATE feeling. I measured out 3 to 4 ounces. The thing is, I would get full before it was empty but would try to eat it all. I stopped doing that. I didn't want to feel obligated to eat all that was in my cup. I use the containers because I do some meal prep for the week. I have chicken and veggies for lunch or Soup. I just like that these smaller containers are a perfect fit. Plus, it helps me skip the step of measuring.
  23. My honeymoon period was extremely short. Yep, I gained 5 pounds the first week after surgery. For the first 3 weeks the weight came off relatively easily and with no effort...of course, I was on a liquid diet...lol! Then, I started working out 6 days a week and I hit a 3 week stall. I saw my nutritionist because I was starting to become depressed. She assured me I was doing everything right. Sure enough the next week I lost 9 pounds. Since 2 weeks after surgery I have worked out at least 5 days a week, taken my supplements, and even made sure I was eating right. It's been a struggle. People will comment that my weight is melting off. I tell them that's because I am in the gym 5 to 6 days a week! I will lose a couple pounds then stall for 3 weeks. During that 3 weeks I typically lose 3 to 5 inches though. I am on the last month of my "honeymoon" phase and since this has been my reality from the beginning I am in a good place. I don't expect too much.
  24. My husband and I went on an anniversary trip last weekend. We went to a place called Rock City. It is a beautiful rock garden tourist attraction ad there is a formation called Fat Man's squeeze. I was able to walk through it without turning sideways. 6 months ago I would not have fit. I guess that is "feeling normal" for me.
  25. I had a cherry coke zero obsession in my previous life. I got pregnant and gave up caffeine. Now after surgery I am committed to not having diet soda
