  1. i wish i had an answer for you! but im only 20 something pounds in and my underwear already feels like a diaper in the rear end. maybe go to a hanes/bali type store and let them help you find whats best for you...i understand with the heat pantyhose and slim wear is not comfy!

  2. i am sorry you having issues with this, i was blessed with isurance that only required me to pay 3-4 thousand out of pocket and was able to actually payroll deduct it so it was easier, i did have to pay the surgeon an additional 1275 though out of pocket. i had to cancel mine before to just save money for those things!

some clinics offer affordable programs to make payments while you are doing your preop weight loss....maybe call around?

see if there is anyway to find a place that may help....

    i wish you luck!

  3. It must of been the week of the sleeve! I also had mine on June 3rd 1230pm. Unfortunately last year I had the band removed from a bad complication so my dr wasn't sure if he would be able to do it laparoscopically because of the tons of scar tissue and hernias from the past surgeries. Thank God he's awesome! Cuz he spent 2hrs separating the scar tissue so he can get to my stomach! It was a rough first 3 days I was very nauseous and in in pain. I was discharged on Friday late afternoon with a drain still coming out of me though so I can't do too much running around and it's hard to go anywhere because of the drain bottle and bleeding. But I feel better everyday! Im trying to cram in my Protein Shakes and liquids. Has anyone else had to leave with a drain? Also does anyone get hunger pangs through out the day?

i was lucky enough to not need a drain but the hunger pain i did have! i couldnt tell what kind of pain it was and my brain kept telling me i was hungry..my first week was very emotional for me for some reason

  4. i spoke to my surgeon once before the 6 month counseling/wl plan and didnt speak to him again until at the hospital the day of surgery! some surgeons let their PA's do all the work , i know mine did.

as far as the reflux goes i had it really bad before and just now started to get it again 3 weeks post op, i think because im eating pureed foods now. i have to also take a pill everyday, that he prescribed but i was able to stop taking 3 others! to me it was a trade off :)

i understand your anxiety i had it too, more than i can explain! if you want to, message me and we can chat and i can listen and try to ease your worries, i had times i just needed a good buddy to make me feel better.

bottom like if you are having big questions, try to get them answered, if not deal with the issue at hand which seems to be anxiety....again, i have it and i know the feeling! its an uncontrollable fear for me.

also with the records, get a copy of them yourself, and all your tests results, and take them with you if you change surgeons, they should be able to use them for continuation of care.

  5. I had it up to here with Premiere, as good as it is i needed a change! i found New whey liquid Protein 42 grams in one bottle and it doesnt taste very good but i can sip the 3.8 oz and be done with it, in half an hour i get over half of my required Protein, i try to get the rest from food but sometimes have to do another oz or so of the evil liquid :) or i will freeze the premier into popscicles,

my fave go to foods right now seem to be

anything turkey! espeically the low fat meatballs, 3 meatballs feels like a feast right now!

Morning start farms black bean burgers, i can make one last me 3 meals, low fat and great protein

for my sweet tooth a mashed up banana or some mashed up rinsed peaches

    love the ideas!

  6. Sleeved May 20th, hit first stall this week i think, trying not to get discouraged, upped my game and actually went back to the gym today since i got cleared last week.

i feel great but tired now, eating small meals and havent had much trouble getting them in, 4-5 times a day per my nut. around 2 oz a piece, today i have some smashed up peach with greek plain yogurt and some Beans and .5 an oz of meat.

    stupid stall...

    but i feel great!

  7. my surgery was 2 weeks ago, so i am post op.

i def had to mix up my Protein, i would mix the chocolate and vanilla together and even still have to, they both make me blah! sometimes the milk based ones are hard on the tummy after a while, there are a lot of cool fruit flavored Proteins you can get , you should give those a try if they are approved by your surgeon, i believe its called Isopure and GNC has it

welcome to the club congrats on your surgery date!!

i was so nervous and scared but now i cant believe its done and over and i survived!!
