  1. Well, I'm entertained. I appreciate deep, thoughtful observations. As a teacher, I don't experience that as often as I'd like I joined POF for a week and a half. However, I found it to be such a creepy experience, that I permanently deleted my profile. Keep your thoughts and observations coming!
  2. You are a dating philosopher, good sir?
  3. I could use some tips on this, too. Admin loves to feed teachers! lol
  4. Is that a common issue? Not being able to STOP losing weight?
  5. That's how I felt too! So, I was surprised when the first two days weren't as pleasant as I expected. It's getting better, though. Keep us posted.
  6. I heard a guy saying he can drop 5 pounds taking a number 2 But seriously, I understand that is possible. Good job!
  7. Oh crap, I didn't realize this was the men's room. Sorry guys!Oh, this is men only? That explains a lot! LOL
  8. Hello, I'm also on day 3 of the 2 week liquid diet. I was struggling the first 2 days. Today is a little better and I don't have the headache anymore. Yes, I'm hungry, but it's tolerable. I couldn't wait to get this liquid diet started, but honestly, I didn't expect it to be quite the challenge that it turned out to be. But I think it will make it easier to adjust to the new dietary lifestyle after the surgery. It won't be quite as drastic of a change. They are allowing me to have smoothies, creamy Soup, juice, SF pudding, yogurt without chunks, things that can be drunk through a straw. Seems a little less restrictive than what some of you are talking about.
  9. Thanks for sharing a good recovery story
  10. I was scheduled for June 19th, but they rescheduled it for June 17th. I'm nervous and keep second guessing this choice. I'll be having a large hernia fixed and I'm afraid I'm entering a world of pain! How is the liquid diet coming along? The first two days were pretty bad with a constant headache. But I'm feeling better now adding some puréed veggie Soups. Still low energy, like having a mild flu. Ugh. It's taking a lot out of me to do little things.
  11. So the pain is manageable?
  12. Aetna and Tricare, but tricare does not cover the sleeve yet. My guess is that they will eventually, but they have been slow to add weight loss surgeries to what they cover. They cover other procedures like lap and, but The band is not for me.
  13. Good luck on the 19th!Woudl you believe they rescheduled my surgery to the 17th? And I thought we were going to be surgery twins! :-) Do you have to do a pre-op diet? I have to do one the 10 days before surgery. I know well I started the liquid diet the day they called with the new date. So It would have been 2 weeks, but now it will be 2 weeks minus 2 days.
  14. Hey! I'm a teacher and also scheduled for the 19th of June Good luck on the 19th! Woudl you believe they rescheduled my surgery to the 17th?
  15. I can't believe it. I started my liquid diet today. Got a call around lunch time that my surgery was bumped up 2 days to the 17th. Was supposed to be the 19th. Now I'm 2 days more nervous!!
  16. Never mind...I see where that question has been answered.
  17. What does NSV stand for?
  18. Hey! I'm a teacher and also scheduled for the 19th of June
  19. You're going to drive yourself crazy weighing every day. I would lose weight for 2 weeks after my cycle and then 2 weeks before, it stagnated. So I worked extra hard to get as much off as possible during my "favorable" weeks. Once weekly weigh-ins is what my doc advised.
