  2. i dont believe in such stuff, its adverts only i mean common if we didnt bust our a$$es out in a gym or even workin out by merely joggin are we gonna bother using some cheap Chinese gadget which wont gonna bear our weight and probably would malfunction after a while, come on

  3. hello banders

im 22yr 2.5 months bander im planning to enter the gym in the next few days and im wondering what is the ideal exercises that would work for me(and whether not to tell my trainer about the surg-i only told him i had a surgery without telling him what it was-) and more how can i deal with the lack of energy i had since the surg ?do u thing if i start to take multi Vitamin pills -like centrum-would help me to get rid of that feeling of fatigue?thank u:rolleyes2:

  4. thanx jack for the reply and im sorry it took me a while to answer u back and for all the things u said u r probably right i know the web is a great resource -its in the first place helped me to understand the procedure-but as i said b4 im in a different region than almost every bud here -i consider myself luck that i find a surgeon preforms such weight loss ops- so there are alot of different things here but its ok i managed to keep up with the instructions here-i guess- thanx anyway

  5. hey pals

im a bander for 6 weeks now and i had my first fill b4 week ago and i just wonder if its ok to lie on my stomach becouse i used to study/surf the net/watching tv that way and the last 6 weeks was hell for me i couldnt enjoy any of the activties i do the normal way -sitting- so i wonder if it wont hurt or jeopardize the surgery.thanX :wink2:

  6. Ali

My doc required 10 days full liquids it included cream Soups - then 10 days mushies then 10 soft the on 30th regular - so you should be on soft foods if I go by my doc's advice. this equates to anything you can cut with a fork - my doc you are to get 60 grms of Protein in daily (1oz of meat = 7 grms protein) and 64 oz of Water - low fat & sugar free.

Protein 1st - then veggies then carbs if you have any room..

If you know nothing about proper nutrition - then I would suggest joining weight watchers on line (don't know if they have meeting in the middle east??) - In my humble opinion WW is the best well rounded food plan out there.

Or you can ck with your family doctor maybe he could refer you - your surgeon sound like a butthead - doesn't he care if you succeed or not...

u r right but for the meat i dont think i can eat it right now couse its a complex food and it would be hard for the stomach to digest but i eat Beans mushes instead

and i really think of going to a nutritionist but i dont know if he would help me if he had no idea about the surgery and no feed back from my surgeon and about WW,we dont have them iguess its only in america(coz my sister join them there even that her BMI is 26 )

and iguess my doc is butthead even though he is really skillful:biggrin1: -but ithink the most coz he wanted to preform a gastric bypass or the sleeves due to my weight dunno im gonna surround him with answers the next time i see him for my first fill

  7. now my diet is all semi creamy stage and i'll right it down to see it -and correct it to me if there is something wrong :

BRAKE FAST- skimmed milk mixed with tea + soft boiled egg

    DINNER- meshed Beans soap

    SUPPER- chicken cream noddles soap

i and i drink apple juice low fat yugert (thinned by water)and a low fat cheese and custard and jell-o and baby food some times

and i dont eat them all just when i got really hungry and the food time is way long

so this is my diet feel free to correct me in any thing or if i can replace any thing thanx

  8. I am in a rural area, and I have not ever had a nutritionist. I did rely a lot on this forum, and also my own common sense, and health related information. I learned what foods would be good for me, as well as what would not be....with or without the band. Then I added the band into the eqation.

The amounts, the foods we were told to eat, or not to eat, when to begin eating them---everything is different based on each surgeon. You should be able to find a happy medium, that coincides somewhat with the pamphlet your surgeon gave you--by reading and researching health related articles. Prevention magazine has a good website with health related eating issues often.

Would you have been given any more information if you had had the sleeve? Seems the issue is lack of post op care from your surgeon, not the type of surgery you had.

As I said before, I have never, not one time seen a nutritionist, and I have found great success with my band, and maintained my health through it all---I am sure many of us have---and I bet you can too!!!

    Welcome to bandland!

    Kat

thanx katty for ur reply i guess it gonna be on my own in this and the problem here is all the recipies lacking some of its Contents so im trying to have an alternative choices i thing this is the best thing i can do for the moment

  9. How about asking your physician? Looking at your previous posts you have already eaten Cookies and marshmallows less than a week post-op. Talk to your physician and tell him/her what you are doing. They need to know.

whooooooooops there is some one stalking me :biggrin1: um i guess u r right but if u still following my posts u gonna know my situation here and the prob not all the recipes i read here cant be prepared due to the lack of Contents in my region it all by myself here -dont have a nutritionist-so im really lacking support
