  1. if you have a desk job you would probably be fine after a week (assuming you had no complications) But if you can it wouldn't be a bad idea to take two weeks

just be aware that for a while you will have extreme fatigue. I was not working when I had my surgery and for the first week walking to the bathroom and back completely wore me out. During my second week I went to Walmart and had to cut the trip short because I just didn't have the strength to keep walking

Sophie, is the fatigue from the extreme calorie deficit or from the physical surgery? I've been having the same question on time off, I'm glad this was asked :)

  2. Hi everyone, My question today is on compression garments that I have seen people reference. (Where I am at is that I have completed 24 wks of classes, and have appt with surgeon, psych, internist on 05/06) Are compression garments similar to Spanx? Are they recommended during weight loss for the aesthetic appearance of no loose skin? I would like to get something to keep my stomach area in, but am not having tons of luck sifting through the information on the internet.

  3. I'm in Southern California and have Kaiser. I'm going to start the 24 week Options classes. I had a couple questions, does anyone know if WW and Nutrisystem count as the supervised diet plans previously tried? Also, I've read that during the classes you need to lose 10% of your weight to be able to get approved for the surgery. Is that correct? It seems like if I can lose 30 pounds in 24 weeks, they'd just tell me to keep doing whatever I was because its working. Any thoughts and/or assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks all!
