    Myree's journey

Well done and what a difference !
  4. Hi there Micoxv now back from holidays back in rainy Pembrokeshire just wondered how you were doing. I managed to run 5 days out of seven whilst I was away and now I'm back at home I'm keeping that going. I did not put on any weight on holiday and normally it would be a gain of 7 or even 10 lbs. that's a great tip about the imitation wine !

How to tell when to upgrade exercise?

Well done on your great weight loss. I think the above poster is right. I started the C25k training program as I felt I needed to up my activity level. I now enjoy running which was most improbable last year before surgery. Good luck anyway
  6. You look fantastic very well done indeed. You will definitely be an inspiration to many !

    Two Weeks to Go!

Some very good advice there from Jinty. I ate loads of tuna and also baked beans. Chicken is still my favourite food. I had lots of soup in the beginning but I don't have it much now. Turkey mince is fab and I make no pasta lasagna with it. Water intake still not as much as I should but trying every day to have more !

    Hello

Well I'm doing pretty good really. 91 lb off and I started C25k running and now I can do 25 minutes plus running without stopping. Not that far compared to some but I would never of dreamt that I could do this a year ago. In fact a year ago I was gearing up for my appointment with the surgeon, I was on holiday as I am right now and I was dreaming that it would all be over ! So even though I'm on holiday I'm running and being aware of what I eat. So this time when I go home I will not have gained 14 lb. to anyone who is thinking of doing this my advice is yes do it. Best thing I ever did for myself and I think I'm worth it . All the best to you.

    Hello

Hi and welcome. I had my op last year July 16 best thing I ever did. I'm in Pembrokeshire Wales and had my op in Carmarthen

    Words of wisdom welcome!

Micoxv is right, the sleeve is a tool but what a wonderful tool it is. I have had a lifetime of dieting and here I am nearly a year out weight loss 91 lb running non stop for 25 minutes plus and loving my life. Yes I was afraid of the operation and life is a bit difficult for the first few weeks, but I can assure you that you will not feel hungry ! All the best to you and welcome to bariatric pal a fantastic place for advice, a laugh and friends. By the way where shouts are you I am in Wales

Why is this (UK Section) so quiet?

Well what a difference in two pics. Love that jacket girl! All the best to all of us UK sleevers and indeed all of the guys and gals worldwide who are sleeving away the weight like us

    Life changing wonderful sleeve!

They will be shocked and stunned when they see you. Keep on running !

Why is this (UK Section) so quiet?

Thanks Rosie I don't think I have ever been an inspiration to anyone in my life! I have found this board an absolute mine of knowledge and when I was feeling a bit low or just wondered how others were feeling along the line I would get on line and read about others and know I was not alone on this amazing journey. I have not yet met anyone in real life who has had this op, so the board is still a great place for me to get info and see how others are getting along. Well done on your weight loss, mine has slowed down now but my shape is still changing and now I can fit into size 12 Next I'm happy.! Onward and downward !

    Breast size after surgery

Love this post ! The long bosoms and rolling them up like sock, yes that's me alright. I went from 42 DD now in 34 FF but that's a small price to pay for the weight loss. Onward and downward I say !

Welcome Emma. Hope it's all going well for you. I had my op July 16 2015 best thing I ever did

Why is this (UK Section) so quiet?

I don't think many UK sleevers know this board is here. I found it quite by chance but very glad I did. How is your weight loss doing. I'm on holiday in Cyprus but still managing to do my C25k which I am very proud of doing ! Think I have frightened a few village folks here in Catalkoy early in the morning!
  22. Fantastic work and keep going for that 100 lb. I hope to follow you there!

    Stepping on the scale.....

Every day for me. Before I had my sleeve if I knew I was putting on weight I just would not weigh at all. Now as other posters have said by weighing daily it keeps ME accountable. Even though I am away from home I have scales here in the villa in Cyprus and I am using them.
