  1. You know, this IS the Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery AREA of the site, and the title of the post warns that there are 'risque' pictures in it, so if you didn't want to see it, you shouldn't have clicked on the thread.

AGREED , IF YOU DONT LIKE IT DONT LOOK

I WISH I HAD BOOBIES I COULD DISPLAY PUBLICLY, IF MINE LOOKED LIKE THAT ID BE SHOWING THEM TO EVERYONE

  2. Holy hotpants Batman!

I'm GAY and think you're hot as a sidewalk in Arizona in August.

You should be very proud of yourself! You are an inspiration to us all!

OK NOW THAT JUST CRACKED ME UP.. ILL LET YOU COME CLEAN THE coffee I JUST SPIT ALL OVER MY MONITOR.

BUT HE'S RIGHT IM A STRAIGHT FEMALE AND I THINK YOUR AS HOT AS AN ARIZONA SIDEWALK AS WELL. GREAT JOB DONE BY YOU AND YOUR SURGEON.. KEEP IT UP:thumbup:

  3. Man Am I Glad You Said It.. Lmao Must Be An Emt Thing ( I Have Been One For 12 Years Now ..lmao )

But Unlike Another Said I Will Continue The Rant

It Makes Me Wonder How Many People Actually Pay Attention To What Is Being Said When I Am At The Doctors. I Dont Go To Group Meetings Anymore Because I Will Probably Find Myself Needing An Attorney By The Time Its Done. If I Had To Hear One More Time ( I Swear I Heard This 6 Times By The Same Person In One Meeting ) "what If Im Going On Vacation"

Then Dont Go On Vacatipon If It Is Such An Issue

Yes Im A Bit High Strung At Times But I Have A Zero Tolerance Policy For Nit Wits

I Just Got Done Reading A Thread About A Lady That Couldnt Afford Her Fills, But, Was Flying To Go See Bon Jovi In Vegas Hellllloooooooooo !!!!

So I Guess To Sum It Up

no you Probably Wont Feel Restricted After A 1st, 2cd, Or Possible 3rd Fill

If It Hurts Or Doesnt Feel Right go See The Doc Dont Wait Days For A Reply, You Wil Probably Be Swirling The Drain By Then.

If You Cant Read Your Pre Or Post Op Instructions, Then Perhaps Money Would Have Been Better Invested In Hooked On Phonics

If You Cant Hear What Is Being Said, You Can Order A Whisper 2000 Off Of Tv For 5 Low Monthly Installments

Unlike Pix I do Mean To Sound Like A Bitch, Mostly Because I Am One, Thats Just Me, If Your Being A Tool I Will Let Ya Know

I Did The Oddest Thing When My Port Wouldnt Close Up. I Went To The Er And Had Them Stich It So It Wouldnt Get Infected. Call Me Crazy But I Did It ( I Run With Scissors On Occasion Too )

Thats For Starting This Thread, I Needed Some Place To Vent This Too ( You Should Have Seen The Funny Looks I Was Getting Yelling At The Puter Now I Can Stop That ) Rest Assured I Will Keep It Going When I See Gross Imcompitance

  4. Well Im Glad Im Not The Only One Who Likes Him

I Must Say On A Somewhat Related Note I Got A Letter From New England Medical 3 Days Ago Saying " Our Records Indicate You Recently Cancelled Your Appointment For A Consultation .. Please Calk To Rescedule" Honestly I Dont Know If I Would Have Surgery Where They Cant Even Keep Their Records Straight. I Made And Broke That Appointment On June 2006 , And Had My Surgery With Dr Randall In Dec Of 2006, Id Say There A Bit Behind On Things. That And Like They Are Trying To Drum Up Business. I Did Have To Call Though And Advise Them My Appointment Was Over A Year And A Half Ago And I Wont Be Rescheduling.

  5. I had someone at work say the same thing to me the other day " you dont need a bariatric surgeon, your not big at all" my reply well no not know I had the surgery a eyar ago.. so I took that as a compliment. My mother is about 115 and always has been HOWEVER, I was lucky, she has supported me every step of the way with this, she never really had the time to go to meeting with me and appointments but she watches all about it on the discovery channel all the time and calls me when she hears about something new , or s side affect she hadnt heard about, so she researches in her own way. I was getting a fill yesterday and one lady in the office was telling her how her family said she was taking the easy way out. Honestly I think it has been a more difficult way to lose, for starters with all the appointments, restrictions and everything else that goes withit.

My personal opinion, any friend or family that cant support your decision to better your health and yourself, isnt that good of a friend to begin with, who needs it.

You do what you feel is right, I have always lived byt the theory , if others dont like it then they dont have to look.

I know it may seem harsh , but there are more important battles to fight and the journey is difficult enough with out support.

    Best of luck

  6. Well Seeing How The Docs Were Interviewed In The Boston Globe For This Procedure Id Have To Say They Are Willing To Do It , Its A Win Win Situation For All Really , And Hey When Ya Get The Money Have It Touched Up, I Would Think One Could Deal With A Scar Than An Extra 200 Feet Of Skin As Mentioned Above Specially If It Was Pro Bono, And They Said No Payment On There

  8. THANKFULLY I DO NOT NEED TO GO THROUGH ANY SORT OF RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY, BUT I HAVE SEEN A FEW ARTICLES ON SKIN DONATIONS

ALOT OF DOCS THAT WORK IN BURN CENTERS ARE DOING PRO BONO WORK TO GET THE SKIN FOR GRAFTS , NOT A BAD IDEA IF IT IS SOMETHING ONE NEEDS TO GET RID OF THE EXTRA SKIN AND DOESNT HAVE THE MEANS TO PAY FOR IT. JUST A THOUGHT FOR ANYONE TO LOOK INTO. :pray2:

  9. here is a site to check out docs in Massachusetts , keep in mind while they do show malpractice suits, no one knows the whole story other than the people involved, I have many docs in Boston and one of them has had 2 suits against them, however after 5 years I have never had an issue. Not everyone has the same experinces with a doc but its a good start for looking

  10. Nope Never Said A Word To My Doctor About Any Of It The Morning Of My Surgery I Was 254, I Am Now 210.

As Fasr As Eating The Morning Before A Surgery I Have Always Done It Wwheter It Was That Or My Knee An I Have A Few Reasons. First Of All It Is Mostly A Convinience To The Staff, So Ya Dont Vomit And They Have To Clean It Up. Surgery Specially Emergency Ones Are Done All The Time With A Full Stomach. Second Most People Feel Nauseas Right After They Wake Up, Why ???? Because They Have Been Pumped Full Of Pain Meds On And Empty Stomach, And Most Pain Meds Will Tell You To Take With food To Avaoid Nausea. Me I Have Never Been Sick After A Surgery, Again Its Not For Everyone But Having Been In The Medical Field For 11 Years You Get The Inside Scoop On Alot Of This

  11. "Fibrous" foods such as broccoli, asparagus, celery, pineapple, and

    rhubarb.

"Doughy" or "Sticky" foods such as white bread, Buns, doughnuts, cake,

etc. Toasted whole grain bread may be tolerated but do not eat within

1 week of a band adjustment.

"Hard to chew" foods such as steak, coconut, chips, popcorn, dried

fruits, or chewy Protein bars. These could obstruct the band.

I can have broccoli and asparagus as long as I eat tips only, not the stems. I can also have popcorn if tender and chewed really well, and I eat Kashi TLC bars with no problem if chewed well. It depends on the person and how tempermental their band is. I can eat some things on some days, and on another day, the same thing will not go down. You figure it out as you go along.

I DO HAVE A HARD TIME WITH THE BREADS, BUT ALL THE OTHERS I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH AT ALL, I EAT CELERY ALOT I JUST NOW CUT IT UP LIKE I WERE TO PUT IT IN A salad AND EAT IT LIKE THAT, FROM A BOWL, FIBROUS FOODS MAY CLOG A BAND BUT IF CUT SMALL AND CHEWED CAREFULLY THEY ARE OK . ALSO THE SAME PROBLEM THOUGH ON DAY SOMETHING WILL GO DOWN AND A FEW DAYS LATER FORGET IT IM DOING THE JUMP UP AND DOWN DANCE

  12. I Was Glued And They All Blew Open On Me, I Had To Go To My Local Er And They Had To Stich Them All, The Only Horrid Scar Is From Thr Port Incision The Others Werent Big Enough. The Doc In The Er Was Horrified That They Dont Staple Them As The Stomach Skin Is Very Tough And Glue Is Not Sturdy Enough. So The Only Bad Scarring I Have Is The One Site, But Honestly I Would Rather Be Thin And Healthy With A Scar Then Big And Unhealthy With No Scars, Besides Isnt That What They Make Tattoo's For ???? Hahahahhahah

  13. As Far As Soda Goes. I Was A Soda Junkie , A Few Cases A Week , And It Was Diet. And Dont Miss It At All, Being Nervous Is Normal. It Is A Life Change Though And Not Trying To Sound Mean But You Need To Be Able To Comply, Or It Wont Work. Its Not A Cure Its A Tool. If You Are Starting To Question If Its For You Then You May Not Be Ready Yet. You Need To Be 100 % On In Order For It To Work. Good Luck Either Way!!!!!!

  14. Make Sure It Isnt Pus Leaking And Also Keep Checking The Area , If Its Hot Go To See The Doc, Chances Are Where U Were On An Antibiotic Your Probably Ok But It Never Hurts To Have It Looked At

As Far As The Big Old Bumpo Where The Port Is. Have Had Mine Over A Year And Still Have The Bump And Was Told To Expect It For Quit A While. One Occassion I Feel It But Other Than That No Problem
