I'm shooting for end of Aug beginning of September I've had 2 Nut appointments already and have lost 12 of my required 15 lbs I have 2 more appointments with Dr and then he submits for surgery approval... It took me 5 years to decide to do this now I can't wait!

I don't have a surgery date yet but once every 2 weeks my hubby and I go out to eat ... I'm really gonna miss that for the first 6 months to a year after surgery ....but this is all worth it I've already lost 22 lbs 10 before I started this journey ( I was very ill and in the hospital)

How do you not have tons of extra skin ? ...I walk everyday but I am preop still waiting on approval
Walk walk walk walk walk walk walk!!I only hope I look that great afterwards...
And walk!!
Hahah, I have been walking since the day after I came home from surgery. Everyday.
I used to try to get 1-2 miles in the first 2 weeks, then 3-4 since then.
Just keep moving. And you will FEEL great!
I also got the Fitbit and I am obsessed with it.
Message me, keep in touch, I'd love to help in anyway I can!!

Pokey Jo ty for responding ... The reason I would loose my income is because insulin forced me to retire on a medical disability I used to drive city bus. If I am no longer insulin dependent they may tell me I have to roll my remaining retirement into a new plan and go back to work... I don't want to go back to driving bus I would have to start all over

Are any of you still on insulin? Months after surgery even years? ... I am type 2 have been for 12 years and on insulin for 8 years I take 2000 mg of metformin 5 mg of farxiga 90 units of levimir and 30- 60 units of humalog daily along with other meds. I'm hoping that I can drop all but the levemir and reduce it by the time I am done .... My getting surgery is a two edged sword, while it is the correct choice I may loose my retirement income if I completely go off all insulin.

Hi I'm from Norton Ohio ( just south of Akron) and Dr Chlysta at Akron General will be my surgeon I don't have a date yet. So far I've seen dietician and nurse practitioner they tell me I have 3 months of supervised visits and I have to loose 15 lbs. My highest weight was 269 my weight when I started 261 now 3 weeks into this I'm 255 I'm only 4'10" so that puts my BMI really high. I'm really nervous and excited at the same time. They are making me see a cardiologist for clearance because of my family history, anyone else have to do that?
Hey there September sleevers! Any one out there?
