Thank you ladies! I know this is just the beginning of a wonderful journey. I know there will be times where I'll be disappointed but I will just have to remember where I started. Good luck to all of you.

I weighed myself this morning. I'm 8 days post op and I hadn't weighed myself. I weighed 238 the day I had surgery and this morning I weighed 228!! I was in shock and in tears.

I've been thinking the same thing!! I'm 8 days post op.

I'll see how long I can survive without it. Lol My toddlers have way too much energy and I can't keep up with them.

I'm 6 days post op. I have a 1 year old and 3 year old. I REALLY miss coffee. Did they tell you when coffee will be okay? Or is it something we can't have permanently?

I was wondering the same. I just had my surgery on 7/2 but I wanted to know when nuts are okay to start eating.

Congrats! My surgery was also on 7/2. I feel pretty good, I don't feel any pain. I need to start drinking more Water.

Great advice! Thank you!

I'm 5 days post op but I haven't had a fever. Congrats on your new weight loss journey. Hope you feel better soon.

I had surgery on 7/2 in Mexico with Dr. Zavalza. But I can tell you that Dr. Altamirano is definitely a great doctor. He was always at the recovery home where I stayed. He seems to give his patients great care pre-op and post op.

I feel pretty good, I don't have any pain. My only problem is keeping up with my kids. They are 3 & 1 so they're a handful. Lol My mom has been coming over to help out when she can since my hubby works long hours 6-7 days a week. But I can't wait to be able to take care of them on my own.

Thank you both! I'm feeling so great. I've been walking a lot since I got to the recovery house. The weather in Tijuana has been perfect mid 70's. Juan with bariatricpal has been so great. Dr. Luna has been checking on me and answering any questions I have. As an added bonus the recovery house is awesome, I love the décor. We're very comfortable here. I took pics of the recovery house, once I figure out how to upload I will.

Surgery went great. I was in a lot of pain last night but I'm feeling much better today. Dr. Zavalza and Dr. Luna both are wonderful and made me feel so comfortable. Robert who is with bariatricpal picked us up from the airport, he was awesome.

Thanks Dr. Altamirano!

Today is the big day. At the airport now, we'll be arriving in Tijuana at 11:30am. Excited but nervous, I hope everything goes well. I miss my kids already.

My surgery is on Thursday with Dr. Zavalza in Tijuana. I have been thinking the same thing. That would be a total waste of time and money since we won't get our airfare refunded. Our flight is only 1.5 hours but we paid 700 for it. I can only imagine how expensive it is for those people who live further than us.

When did you start eating solids? I know we have to go by what our Dr says but I'm just curious. Thx!
