24 more hours to go! I am banded on Wednesday Jan 09 in Ypsi at Barix with Dr. Pop! I started clear liquids midnight and laxative, but wouldn't you know I have a terrible sinus headache so I had to take something for it. UGH! Anybody else out there with my dates? How are you doing?

Congrats to you Woodsy--tomorrow I start clear liquids and Wednesday is my BAND day. I have to arrive before 6 AM and Dr. Poplawski is my doc. I have opted to day over night at Barix. How do your incisions look?

Jody, THANK YOU so much. I am a patient of Dr. Poplawski at Barix in Ypsi and the hospital they use is on site Forest Medical Center. I want to stay overnight, but I hear they send them home the same day; kinda outpatient surgery. I wonder if I will have the option to stay overnight. I also hear this place will do upper GI, blood work, breathing tests and xrays on the preop. (mine is tomorrow) and yes I am excited. I will finally have the help to get out of this fat suit I have been wearing. Anything else you can share post-op please let me know. Anyone else with the Barix of Michigan out there?

I appreciated your comments, and I too take my faith in Christ as a guarantee of heaven as my eternal home, should anything go different than I expect on the table. My band date is Jan 9th. Now I don't want to die on that date as a result of the procedure or anything afterward, but I do know where I will wake up! So I am a winner both ways!

Hey Man-t You look like you've had the greatest sucess since your band in May! Wow! I am being banded next Wed Jan 9th at Barix in Ypsi in Michigan, and I too have had the thought of death or some other kind of drama. Any suggestions?

Have you gotten your fills? I understand this is major in losing the weight. Is your Dr. agressive in you not being hungry? Please don't be discouraged.

Well they finally called after 2 months of waiting and the insurance company is going to cover it all. HALLELUJAH Now my banding date is Jan 9th but I am have a few concerns about the physicians track record. He has only done about 50. Anybody from MICHIGAN know about Barix Center? Anybody else banded there? Let me know your experience. Are you losing weight? Any complications? I went to a HI-Profile Banding Doctor in Houston and I am wondering now that I am approved by insurance, should I go to the most experience doctor? CJV Help
