I just wanted to say thank you to everybody on this thread for helping me keep my sanity. I started at 237 (surgery 5/5 and I had no pre-op diet requirements) and am only down to 192. I felt like a failure that it wasn't enough and I was doing something wrong, but reading your posts has helped me realize we're all on our own journey at our own speeds and shouldn't compare ourselves to others victories. So again, thank you all. I don't post much, but I do keep up with your stories.

Ok, so I weigh every morning. I have a routine. I shower, do my make up and blow dry my hair. Then I immediately get on the scale. Well this morning was like every other. I get on the scale and look down. The loudest scream I have ever screamed in my life flew out of my mouth. I am weighing 239 lbs. everyone came running my son with a broom because he thought the way I screamed there was a rodent in the house! I am officially down 85 lbs. oh wow!! I so psyched up. It's been 14 years since I weighed so little!!

The scale stopped at 201 lbs for about 8 days as if to purposely tease me
Then 2 weeks ago I fell below 200 into the ONES - I almost cried and I wanted to email a picture of he scale to my surgeon and thank him.
Moving steadily this two weeks and I am now in the 180's
Started Bootcamp last week and that has taken the workout up about ten notches burning 7-8 hundred calories in an hour.
Is it weird that I just want to hug my surgeon and tell him " thank you! Thank you for giving me a fighting chance to get my life back "
Feeling blessed and very happy

I suck at getting the fluids in too. I get the Protein flavor packs that you mix in Water for a 2fer.

That's right... A healthy market with serve yourself foods that you pay for by weight. Put a table spoon of two high Protein foods and a teaspoon of chick peas ( plenty for us right)
In the past lunch was at least $7 at this high end market but I put it up on the scale to pay and the cashier said "1.68... Is that enough lunch for you dear?" I knew it was plenty and loved my new found weighing food advantage! We " losers" make out like bandits with this type of market!
I encourage you all to find one of these near you if you have to eat out sometimes for lunch at work - fun, healthy and economical????

I started the C25K app yesterday. I was really impressed with myself for doing the entire first day jogging workout without quitting. I would never have even considered doing anything close to this in my pre-sleeve days. It was even... dare I say... fun!

The C25K app is excellent. I started it when I was in the 300s years ago, and from that, went on to the 10K program and then Hal Higdon's half-marathon program. They're all a great way to build up distance -- I can't wait to get back up there again.

Just wanted to share that my stall finally broke!
And I also put on the scrubs I haven't worn since my last shift on May 10th and they are now HUGE on me!

Hi all thank you for your thoughts and prayers, doing good for the moment. a little bit of discomfort and neck pain but I still also have some liquid and air trapped in my stomach it was like doing the surgery all over again. so he's going to check my CT scan today well another one and tomorrow if he might let me go home tomorrow. He will have a nurse come by every day to feed me through the PICC line.
For some reason I just can't help but feeling like I never should have done the surgery. The doctor said this is a statistic that rarely ever happens but it does happen. so keep your prayers up for me and keep me in your thoughts and we all will push through this and it goes without saying that I love all you peeps here on this gastric bypass board

I am so ecstatic! I am 2 pounds away from my first goal of being under 300 pounds!!

FINALLY I pooped! Lol I'm so excited and actually feel better. Ok here is a funny story.
My niece and her lil 3 yo Daphne live with me and are my support. Well daphne is in potty training and every time she goes she gets a potty prize. So after I went my niece asked me if I was able to go and I said yes lil daphne said "good boy!" Then ran to the bathroom and came back with one of her potty prizes. I was lmaoing so hard. Here is a pic oh what she chose for me. Haha

I've saved so many clothes throughout the years, I should be pretty covered also. However-what was cute 5-10 years ago is definitely not cute now!!!!! Why was I saving them?!?!?? Sooooo, my punishment to myself is that I have to wear everything at least 1 more time before getting rid of them. I think this will help me not want to hold on to the fat clothes. Not to mention, sell them to buy new CUTE clothes. You deserve it!

Sounds like we had surgery the same day and also hit a 2 day snag. Frustrating to say the least. scales moved again this morning, so I'm sure yours will too!!!! Hang in there. I finally got my first, "something's different about you". I knew it was that my face is a bit thinner, but they didn't know I had surgery. Just happy somebody noticed something. Motivation.

Pretty good. Get bursts of energy, so I get up to do something and it requires a nap after. Just feeling drained, but want to be amongst the living again. So bored.

How's your pain doing? Subsiding any?

Had my first post-op/weigh in today. Down 10 lbs exactly. Beyond excited!!!!! ????????????????????????????????????????????????????
