    Kentucky, "who's your Doctor"

I was banded by Dr. Kaza in Elizabethtown. I can do my fills and etc. at his office with the Advanced Surgical Associates of Kentucky. They have recently added a second surgeon. I did my whole process in-house with them. I've had a great great great experience, thus far!
  3. What do you all do with your bigger clothes? I have a TON of mostly business wear (I'm a teacher and just finished my principal certification and am starting a doctoral program in school administration) SO I have mostly fitted jackets, sweaters and dress pants. I have thought about doing consignment or having a yard sale in the spring... but, I already need the room! Ideas?
  4. The thing that I find about Old Navy is that nothing is true to size. My friend lost nearly 160 lbs w/ her band and wears an 8 at Gap, but at Old Navy has purchased pants from size 6 thru 14 at her current size (She's maintained for 4 years!). I've found similar issues there, myself. I tend to purchase talls most places, but sometimes at ON things are too short. I like Macy's, C J Banks (Christopher and Banks), Dillard's and other such places. I do well at Eddie Bauer, also.

    Would u feel PO'd?

Check the back of those gift cards though, folks. Make sure that there isn't a monthly surcharge that decreases the value each month. You'd be surprised how much they can decline in value after sitting a couple of months!

    Day 4...

Hi! I'm Julie and received my lapband on Thursday, December 13, 2007. I did very well and am feeling good! The biggest issue has been that I had, what my surgeon called, an 'extreme' hiatal hernia. My entire stomach was in my chest cavity. So, when he went in, he had to cut my diaphragm and re-place my stomach. I can't tell you how much easier it is to breathe, not to mention the lightness in my chest! Other than that, things are good. My right shoulder is hurting some from the gas. My doctor said it was ok to take Gas-x strips and that gives me quite a bit of relief. I had a little morphine at noon on Thursday and then I've had 2 doses of my loratab liquid. SO, the pain hasn't been a great issue. I've done exceptionally well. I'm pretty excited about losing the weight. I've lost about 40+ since June, so I'm hoping that it will continue in the same fashion. I'm still on liquids, of course. My husband went grocery shopping and evidently planned on Soup for the next 6 months or so! I think he bought the entire aisle! Not really, but he did get more than I would have ever guessed! More info to follow.. Glad this site is here!:clap2:

    Sex!!!

OK SO, even big, I've always had a high sex drive and high flexibility. I'm slightly worried about losing more and being so much smaller than my 6'7", big wide boned hubby. (he nearly always pops my right hip out of socket... TMI!) But, he's pretty excited about being able to pick me up and etc. Speaking of the exercise ball... any preference for size and shape? I do a lot of push-ups and sit-ups on a fairly big one (but I'm 5'10")... I'm thinking I need to buy another big one for pop-age! But, folks, let me just say one thing... HOT-TUB... Nuff said!

Man that's tough! Maybe Mom just isn't ready to accept that you have changed so much about yourself. I know my mom is really having a hard time with me being banded and the changes I've made. I think it makes her feel like a failure because I chose to change my life in such a different way. You know, you can always take that Lane Bryant gift card and have it exchanged for another store that the Lane Bryant folks run... such as Victoria's Secret!
