  1. Hi,

I'm from Florida and I'm just beginning this journey. Had my first consultation the 16th my UGI and Gallbladder ultrasound the 19th my education class and nutrition visit the 30th after that I'll only have my psych visit then I can submit to ins for approval. Everything is moving fast and smoothly, hope to have my surgery scheduled by the end of August.

  2. I'm new to this journey and preparing to get the sleeve surgery. Yesterday was my first consultation and luckily my insurance and doctor doesn't require much. I've already been on an supervised diet plan and I was able to get my psych, nutrition, and educational class all scheduled the same date one after another. As well as my upper GI & UGI is scheduled. Feeling great because everything is scheduled in the next two weeks and then they can submit everything to my insurance for approval. ????

  3. I've been reading even asked a few I know personally that have had the surgery, but still I'm undecided. Mainly for the reason I'm afraid of the way I may look. I've seen many that look wonderful afterwards but as well many that look awful????not sure if those ones just didn't follow the post op directions as did what they pleased but it scares me. With that being said I did go ahead and schedule me an appt so I could ask any questions or concerns with a doctor(6/2) hope this help ease my mind????????

  4. Thanks for all the replies, but not to say 100lbs isn't a lot of wt to loose because it is but I was saying that's my goal to loose and wasn't sure if that was to low of an wt amount to loose for surgery. But after reading other posts I've noticed several with different goals and different amounts lost. Therefore it's making it a lot easier to make an decision, thanks.

  5. I'm trying to decide if having the sleeve surgery the direction I want to go. I want to loose 100lbs but feel surgery shouldn't be an option to loose such an small amount. Not the number itself small because by far it isn't and I've been struggling for years to loose it, but I've noticed many that did was very obese and lost way over that amount. I guess my question is can your weight lost be controlled?

  6. Trying to decide if surgery the route I want to take to help me reach my weight loss goal. I'm currently 259lbs and my biggest fear of having this surgery is not being able to control my weight loss and I'll loss too much and look ill or I'll loose too much and it won't look good on me. I've seen the good and bad results on several whom have had the surgery some good and some bad... Just confused, can someone shed some insight on the surgery for me?
