Thanks everyone for feedback! I have been open with everyone in my life about my surgery and knew it would change things but it has been such drastic weight loss. I want myself, and my husband and I as team to be successful long term. Maybe two much tmi but I want us to connect again like we did before we gained the weight, and became ashamed by our weight which affected our relationship.

Read this part of article: Reduced Body Fat reason for bruising Body fat is the body's own natural cushioning system. Thin people or people on a quick weight loss plan are more prone to bruises for this reason.

I started bruising 4 months out. I just had my 5 month bloodwork done, no deficiencies except b1. Not sure why it's happening

How much do you eat at a meal at 2 months, 3 months
nikkimapr replied to 60&goin4it's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Just hit my 5 months post op. Nut still has me at 3 meals a day 1/2C each. No snacking. Mostly each protein each meal, at dinner maybe bite or 2 of vegie. 2 centrum chewable a day. Bloodwork came back normal at checkup except having to add a super b complex vit each day. -

Insurance Doesn't Cover Bariatric Surgery
nikkimapr replied to shortsoprano72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had surgery through my employer insurance Cigna but my husband has state bcbs that doesn't cover for him to have surgery. We added him this year to my policy while keeping his state plan also so he could have surgery. -
Anyone with Cigna insurance ?

I have Cigna and it took less than 5 business days -
We have a wedding to go to this weekend. Opened the closet and realized all my dresses were way too big since my June 2015 surgery. So hit the mall. First was amazed I didn't have to shop in Womens section, so that was a change. Then decided I needed new shoes and tried on a pair of calf boots and they fit!!! Never have worn calf high heel boots.

Before and After Pics
nikkimapr replied to Roserie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ladies at office were very supportive prior to my surgery in June. Now they don't mention it or bring up. Dont know if it's just my head but they treat me different now that I have lost 105lbs. They are kinda snooty to me, and just had my BFF tell me she felt like my success is making her unhappy with herself. -
I went to a running shoe store and got fitted. They test your pressure, determine your arch, etc. Best shoes I ever bought. My feet don't hurt while doing c25K, or after. Our store is called Fleet Foot. Ended up with pair of new balance

Have been on cloud 9 and get a text from BFF that floored me
nikkimapr posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Advice or thoughts: Background I have a BFF that lives an hour away. My husband and I vacation with her and her husband. The guys are best friends too. I explained to my family and friend back in January I was taking this year for me and my health and began this journey than. That would include having to use my time off this year for surgery, pre op appts, post op appts. So my husband and I really haven't had the time or money for vacation, but we have made time to do local things with family and friends. My best friend had her first grandchild thus summer and has cancelled on concert, girls weekend that she planned, and other things. When she cancels I still go and have good time. Now to today. I have been feeling the best I have felt in a long time. Hitting gym during week and running my first 5k back in sept. Lost over 100lbs since Jan. Was feeling great this week with my new haircut and color to treat my self for my over 100lb loss. Tonight when I get home from gym she text me that she is concerned for me because she doesn't think I am happy. She states that she is proud of my success but thinks that I am now unhappy, when she hasn't been around me in months since she has cancelled on anything we had planned. I am floored???? -

Methinks I see the heart of this problem........ Your friend.......she's not a Gamecock fan is she ?????? Would explain the morose outlook and feeling of impending doom on the Clemson-South Carolina game. Clemson is riding the highest of highs.......Gamecocks are downtrodden. I'm just kidding with the sports angle. Hopefully you'll be able to cheer your friend up. You've certainly does well and made great improvements and that's what you have to hang your hat on at the day's end. Well done !!!!!!!! yep I am the die hard tiger fan and her the gamecock fan, lol -

Thanks for advise. We spoke and she admits she is the one who is unhappy with her life and is envious of what I have accomplished this year. I told her I was here for her and we would plan something for upcoming clemson/carolina football game -

I had my surgery approved with Cigna as my plan didn't have it as exclusion. One of my surgeons mentioned that some reconstructive surgery such as the belly area can be medically approved but not arms or legs. I am really only thinking maybe of doing belly and boob that have lost mass and now sag even more, lol. Questiins: anyone have these done and have medically approved? Anyone have these done at same time? Curious of healing time if I do both at same time before I go back to work. I was back to work 5 days after sleeve

thanks for feedback! I hope I can get insurance to cover some
