Hi I'm 5'4"
My starting weight is the same. Do you mind sharing how tall you are? I would be thrilled to loose 62lbs in 5 months! Great Job!!!ImageUploadedByBariatricPal1447885363.835966.jpg

I decided to do it in March 15. Was sleeved 19th May. Can be as quick as you want but you need to do the pre-op diet first
-
My nutritionist gave me a good Protein drink option - lower calorie too. I was struggling to get enough protein. Supplement a pint of skimmed milk with 4 tablespoons of Marvel dried skimmed milk. I then add sugar free Crusha to make a milkshake. Really boosts my protein intake.

Hi I took a 10 day course after an asthma attack. I knew it was going to have an impact. I just decided I had to roll with it. Let it do its job to get you well then focus on removing any weight gain. You know it will come off. It may just slow you down a week or so. Good luck!

What a great idea:-)
I've lost 61lb. Sleeved 19th May. I have 28lb to go to my goal. This has taken me from a UK size 22 (US 26) to a UK 16 (US 12)
I am so happy with my results. I aim to get to goal early 2016.
No complications but fairly chronic reflux. Managed with medication but may need to look at surgical options moving forward.
What I love:
Freedom to move and play with my kids easily
Buying new clothes!
Not feeling like the fat friend
My husband's respect for doing this
What is hard:
Getting Protein in has been a hard battle, especially being vegetarian
The reflux
hair loss
I haven't overcome my eating demons and will need help once the sleeve loses its magic ways
All in all I have absolutely no regrets! I did in the first few weeks but I'm a new woman now

I was indeed sleeved in May. Good to know I'm not the only one and it's a trendWere you sleeved in May 2015? I know that I am many had our first stall around this time frame and it is normal as your body catches up and adjusts, just keep on the path and document everything, it will start back up.

2 weeks and counting. It's really having an effect on me now. I'm feeling despondent, head hunger is returning with a bang
-
Sadly I have s heel injury so no running for me at present. Otherwise I would have happily taken this up! Good luck and keep us posted!
On a separate note I am on such a major stall it's driving me crazy. No weight lost for 10 days now. How the heck can this be?! I eat like a bird????

Sounds like you're doing everything right. My weight loss would be exactly the same as you if I hadn't had a week of reflux when I couldn't eat at all. Also my NUT says if you lose too fast you run the risk of losing muscle mass, which makes it easier to put back on. So well done!

I've just snuck in under 200 at 199! Total loss of 39lb. Aren't we good little bariatric patients?!
Although I saw my NUT yesterday and they are concerned I'm losing too quickly?... Interesting. Still got to get the Protein up. My NUT is not a big fan of adding Protein Powder and I'm supposed to get it nutritionally through foods. Interested what others experienced are.
Well done all of us! 2 months down. Wow

Good to know we're at the right level!80g protein is hard though!I am at 6 weeks in Tuesday and I have been around 600-650calories per day too. I aim for 80grams of Protein per day. My NUT did tell me that 600-800 is where I should be right now!

Thanks for asking this question! I am four weeks out and feel like I am super low... like I think I am probably lucky to get 500 calories a day. :/
There are days when all I can do is 500 BizzyB. And other days more. But that seems to be the way of it. Hopefully yours will improve soon :-)
-
I'm 6 weeks post op and interested to know average calorie intake for all stages really. I average around 700 cals of 'normal food' now. Is that average, high or low?
I know some people only count Protein. I do both.
Interested to hear any experiences

How are you doing Rosie??
Doing great thanks! Down 34lb and loving this. Well, most of the time. I think my restriction is quite strong and I seem to eat less than some on here. How are you doing?

Thats a really useful site thanks

Yes! Thank you. They just started to kick in today. Hopefully by tomorrow they'll be in full flow. I feel so much better and can get my fluids in. Even took the kids to Legoland today. It's made me very nervous to go onto soft foods but I'll try tomorrow ????

I have a 3 year old and a 5 month old. I have to say I needed help for a couple of weeks. I could manage explaining not to jump on mummy etc but the fatigue was pretty bad. I would have struggled without extra help

I am phoning hospital secretary today, hopefully to get my date in July. I am starting to think about buying stuff for after the op like Protein Shakes etc all ready for when I come back from the hospital. Any recommendations for any particular product we can get here in UK
