Not telling people at work...
I pretty told my boss and HR Dept. as well has several co-workers. I wanted all the support I could get! Not one person has looked at me differently ???? and if they did I would not really care either way! I did this to help and make me healthy again.

Issues with my eye sight and glasses since I no longer have diabetes
Before my RNY I had very bad diabetes and had a different Rx. for my eye glasses. My glasses that I had made when I had real bad issues with my diabetes are not working so well now since I no longer take the meds for it and no longer have sugar problems. I am wearing a pair of glasses I had made before I really had any problems with diabetes. So it seems like my vision has gotten better since I don't have sugar issues anymore ????... Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Pouch
I keep my meals under 3oz and no grazing at all... I eat protein first and stop when I start to feel full... Then wait 30 to 35 mins to have a drink after I eat. I say just follow the rules and you will experience a good life with your new pouch.

4 Weeks Post-Op
@@FrankinTexas have you tired these Protein shakes I posted below? They are tasty and packed full of 30 grams of protein per container. I normally only have one a day to help me hit my protein goal. Also I just made my some homemade chili yesterday and that too is packed with protein. I saw my doctor today and he is very happy with what I'm doing this far ???? for things to drink I am drinking a lot of Water, crystal light and a little apple juice with no sugar added. Frank I hope this helps a little bit.

Had my RNY On 8/10/15
@@Madeleine Renee, Hi I wanted to answer your question. Well, I have been on meds for diabetes for about 7 years. I was told by my surgeon that after my RNY i would prolly not need meds and he is right! I was still taking them in the hospital and my sugar was dropping too low so they had me stop them before I even came home. Now that I am getting off just about all my meds I was in before surgery I feel like this is all a blessing and I feel great being off all these pills ????????????

Once getting home from the hospital.....
@@Dub, I slept in my bed when I came home from the hospital and I used a pillow to my side so I didn't roll to the center or any other part of the bed. The only real issue I had was getting myself in the sitting stage in the morning and hurt very bad using my stomach. My advice would be to have someone help you be able to sit up in bed in the morning. I did also like to use an extra pillow under my head so I was not flat out of my back. I'm now two weeks post op and feeling much better about sleeping but still use an extra pillow that I hold on my stomach and like hug the pillow and he makes me feel better until I am totally healed. I hope this helps some. If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask ????????

How long to walk?
I had my bypass done on 8/10/15 and still have issues with one of my wounds not being healed. How long does it normally take to be able to walk? Like I want to be able to take a nice walk though my neighborhood but still to weak to go that far so it feels that way?
