  1. Love the picture with the bat! You look great!
  2. I put this in pureed veggies. I thought the texture was the carrots. Well, now I see I am not the only one that had this issue. Same as you, I do like the taste. I pureed veggies in broth. Let everything sit til room temp before adding. I am wondering if I should be mixing proteins in food in Ninja then freezing, instead of adding after. But you're saying your UNJURY Chicken Soup was the same really makes me wonder.
  3. My son is 9. He has also seen some of my books. He has not yet asked. He just always thinks you go to the dr for being sick. So I told him I Am not sick. I am going to the dr for something good. I have been eating healthy and they are helping me to do so. The goal is to get to ride all the rides at the theme park with him. So, I simply told him I'd be working really hard and soon I'd be able to outrun him. But he told me never, he's just too fast and some times goes slower just so I don't feel as slow. But I will have to tell him something. I think I will just tell him the dr fixed my tummy.
  4. Let me know how the Vanilla goes. I did a post about this when I was ordering. I have did Unflavored and chicken Soup. I actually put chicken soup in veggie puree. I like it. Unflavored I've put in banana and applesauce mixes. But I'm now coming to the point where I am just not liking it. And it could be because I did the Lean 25 from GNC, and I'm knowing this isn't going to be something my dr will let me keep! Or so I feel like it. I have first dietician visit next Weds. I also have a milk allergy, not lactose intolerant, which I learned early in life were different things. But both these 2 have stayed down ok for me and I am actually shocked. I loved the Apple Melon Isopure in liquid form.
  5. I chose the elliptical because of the stress to my knees. I went into the store for about week straight and decided on this. I'm just curious about iFit. I know I will have to wait a bit before using it regularly. I'm making a walking plan now! I've been getting moving a lot more. Each break at work, I'm walking. It's actually exciting. I think that would be fun. But with Ifit you can race people. Have you seen a video class before? Would be really good to make use of your treadmill. I know it was an expensive thing to get and not use. That's what I was worried about with picking that. It's actually taken me about 2 months to come to a conclusion. It has a 30 day money back guarantee. Not all of them have weights. I watched some so I think it should be okay for me. We'll see.
  6. I will be getting my elliptical delivered shortly. Has anyone else used iFit? How do you like it? I am excited to get it and start a workout plan. Well, I'll build up to one. I know I'll start out slow. How about Les Mills Combat? Did you like it? I'm getting it because I have watched some on youTube and don't find it boring. This is an excitement for me. This is where I'll start. And in the mean time I will be ordering the equipment mat and weight gloves.
  7. Have you tried OxyClean? Even Dollar Tree or Store brand work the same. Does your dryer have Air Dry or Ex. Low heat?
  8. @@justme29 i drink bottled only way to go hate mixing powdered swiss chocolate luv, luv, luv it thanx for that heads up kathy
  9. Anyone that drinks it...GNC Total Lean Online Weekend Sale $24.99. Just a heads up because it's less than the BOGO 1/2 off in the store.
  10. I did. That is what I was coming to update.
  11. Just wanted to update that I did get this figured out. Finally met with HR and I did get it approved for appointments in preparation for surgery. Thanks!
  12. @@justme29 yum yum they are so delicious you are still pre-op right?? @@VSGAnn2014 buys the pre-made in the plastic bottles me too!!! much easier, able to immediately drink more expensive than the powder i figure i'm worth it you are too i drink the swiss chocolate luv, luv, luv it i forgot "they" will give those teeny samples for taste think i'm gonna try that @@Inner Surfer Girl said "Be extremely careful with fruit juices due to the high sugar content." totally true I kindof cringed/gasped when i saw you were adding powder to orange juice STOP IT!!! people have been shot for less you sound very prepared for post op plenty of pureed stocked in freezer way to go keep up the good work with your preperations where were you 3.5 years ago i could have used your expertise can't wait to meet you in sleeveland good luck kathy Yes, glad she told me before I got extremely stuck to that mix. But I'm thinking if I check out the other flavor, I should be fine. My doctor's office has me on all the Vitamins I will take later as well. So, they want to see if people are able to comply with the eating habits we're promising. When I got the new Ninja, I got a little excited. I have some fruit and yogurt smoothies but I know with that, I can't have those right away. I did the puree applesauce in bananas, veggies in broth etc. I was kinda going puree overboard for a couple weeks. For me, I can not tolerate milk so it's not an option to go pre-made. Because I have several shaker bottles now, It's not very much work for me. I even took the applesauce and banana puree with unflavored protein in one of those. It worked fine. It's a very different way of eating. But I am trying to figure it out. When I make a commitment, I like to stick with it. For now, I'm trying to figure out which Proteins will get overstocked! And I know the Isopure Zero Carb Apple Melon will be fully stocked for 2 week liquid diet! I have also finally given in to getting an elliptical, but I'll be starting out with the Les Mills Combat DVD before moving forward. I was given a list of things to do, one was join an excercise program, with my work commute, this will be about as good as I can get to one. I'll let you know how it goes!
  13. They are all made from milk. But from the research I've done people are either allergic to the whey or the casein. If I drink milk, it comes right back out. I can't tolerate it at all. I have not had any issues with the ones that I have had. I am allergic to peanuts too. That's the issue with most the bars contain almonds, which most don't relate with peanuts. I had to return most of them.
  14. I am doing the powder because of a milk allergy. I have tolerated them all well. All the ready mades are milk. So, I will go get it and try it with water. As, this is one I know I like! Thanks!
  15. I am allergic to strawberries and chocolate. I am trying to make sure the type of Protein was right. But it seems several are using this one. It will not be my only. As I am using
  16. I was going to get the Orange Flavor too. But does that mean I am to add them to water? I am new to this. That is what the rep in the store told me to add it to. I just looked up the OJ label and I see what you're referring to.
  17. They gave me a sample of this as I got a free membership due to grand opening in my neighborhood. Absolutely loved it in orange juice. And I was so full! Right now, my doctor told me to just try things to see what I can tolerate. Is this one the correct type of Protein? I have 2 $5 off coupons and they are buy 1 get one 50% right now. So, it'd be awesome. I will try calling the clinic tomorrow though. I haven't had dietician appt yet, only a phone one which is through my insurance. So, my deep freezer is full of purees etc now. I wanted to see what tasted ok. Did a pretty good job. And honestly, am taking in more veggies this way!
  18. Isopure Zero Carb Apple Melon....well all the flavors but that is my favorite so far. I have not had to do the diet yet. I tried all of these beforehand so I would be prepared. I have not tried the sugar free Jello or pudding yet. But we have a list in our book of what we can have.
  19. I did get the Quest Protein bars. I may have the Premier as well. I am not sure. I have 2 different brands that they explained would be best for someone after surgery. I have seen this protein powder on another site. There are many people that use it. I have so many issues with allergies that now I see the unjury sits well on my stomach, I am nervous to change too quickly with the flavors. The one I got from GNC is French vanilla. She said to try it in orange juice.
  20. I did get the Quest Protein bars! I just haven't tried them yet.
  21. I have not done it yet. I am still in the planning phase. I felt that with such limited options of liquid, it'd be difficult. I have the same list and a few others in the book I have. But I did go to GNC and find the Apple Melon Isopure. It tastes like Apple Jolly Ranchers. Are you allowed to have these too? There are a few other flavors. This one was just what I found online and sought it out. Best of luck on your journey ahead!
  22. My dr told me to try different things prior to surgery to see what I can tolerate. I did get a new Ninja as the other one would have been entirely too much work for the quantities I was attempting to make. I did break everything down into small freezer bags, purees etc, I am attempting to get used to this diet now so that I can be prepared. GNC had a grand opening and I got free membership, so I will try their Protein powder too. I do see that it has more calories than unjury, and I'm thinking it has some fat calories too. I'm not looking at it right now but I remember the pack is 200 calories. I really went in search of the Apple Melon Isopure. I tasted it, and was surprised that it tasted like apple jolly ranchers. I did get a few Protein Bars to try as well and other isoPure flavors. I explained to the employee what I was doing. She then led me away from a lot of the products and showed me why. Some of those bars have 400 calories each. I'm learning a lot. I feel excited about it all!
  23. I thought it being too warm would be an issue. It says 140 degrees. Possibly too cold could be too. Maybe I need to try the chicken soup recipe options. Possibly unflavored just isn't the one for me.
  24. What would I need the thermometer for? I already bought 3 blender bottles. I'm hesitant to try the other flavors due to allergies. Possibly I could try the vanilla.
  25. I have finally tried. How do I get rid of the chalky taste? Should I be putting unflavored in food rather than smoothie? I was thinking the chicken soup would be for broths. I may move to trying that. But now I'm nervous to waste it if I'm not doing something right because I was only able to get half an oz down without gagging.
