Just thought I would check in with the fellow Dec Bandsters! Hello!!!
I am not quite at my 8 month mark, will be on Aug. 27. As of today, I have lost a total of 102 pounds. I feel great, and off the BP meds.
Exercising 5 out 7 days. Can't wait to see the results at the one year mark, I hope that I can reach goal by then, but the last month has been slower than others with the loss, but I did lose about 9 inches from all over. So I am happy about that.
Keep up the great work everybody!!

You will be able to fly through the preop, just think of the way you will feel with the help of the band, when you start losing weight!!
By the way I am in North Texas, Fort Worth. I was banded at the very end of December, and as of today have lost 102 pounds. So just follow the rules and stick with it!! Remember to exercise, it helps alot.
Sept 17 will be here before you know it.

Hi Hopeful!
I was banded at the end of Dec, and as of today have lost 101 pounds, I started exercising as soon as I felt able to. I also do a dry skin brushing program that you can find out about on the website www.ttapp.com, that is the exercise program that I am doing also, I don't really have excess skin, that hangs, I do have some more wrinklely skin on my upper arms and belly and inside thighs, but not like I was expecting. I really believe the exercise and brushing helps. I also take my Vitamins, Biotin, zinc and vit e, and alfalfa for my skin. Good luck!!

Like I said I Love her program, I think that I have almost every workout, some on vhs and newer ones on dvd. That is great that you have access to a trainer. I am going to my first session with a trainer in Sept. in Dallas. you said that you are missing part of the workout, the basic + is the first half, make sure you let them know which part you are needing, so you don't order the wrong one! I am eagerly awaiting the challenge results from the 60 day challenge. Can't wait to see all the fabulous results.!!!!

Hi I am still doing the TTapp workout. I love her program, I am a little of 7 months out and as of today...... I have lost 100#'s. And I don't even know how many inches!!! I love my band and I love TTapp! Wouldn't have the success without either. Congrats on your progress!

Welcome and Congrats on your surgery date!! -
I am a patient of Dr. Smith's partner, Dr. Ferrara. I was in the office today for a fill. I was banded a little over 6 months ago, at the end of Dec 07, as of today the scales are showing 92 pounds gone!!!!! I have about 40 to 50 to go. I hope to make that by my anniversary date.
The important thing to remember is to exercise while losing weight, this will help with the loose skin. I am doing a program called TTapp, she has a program called CRT, it is to help your skin, tighten and tone while losing weight and inches. check it out on the web, www.ttapp.com, it can be a bit high on the prices for the program, but it works, if you put a little bit of effort behind it. I have not only lost 92 pounds, but since March I have lost over 40 inches (from all over body measurements)
Good Luck and Best Wishes on your journey to bandland. Feel free to contact me with questions!!

Today, well if I post this in the next 60 seconds, anyway 06/27/08 is my six months anniversary since being banded and I have hit the 88 pound mark gone!!! Since 3/15/08 I have lost a total of 43 inches from all over on the main measuring spots that I measured.
Band life has been such a blessing to me, and I can't not wait to get the next 50 pounds off, and I should be at or close to goal.
I do have to add that I think exercise has played a very important part of my success.
Keep up the great work everybody, I love reading how everyone else is doing.
Need to update tracker. Haven't done that in a while.
Have a great day!

Call LBS - Laparoscopy, Bariatrics, and Surgery, Dr. Smith and Dr. Ferarra, I believe they will take patients that are not their surgery patients. Dr.Ferarra is my doctor, both Dr.s are great, and staff is wonderful, and Dr. Smith is a band patient himself!!! 817-850-1100 The office is off, 30 and Forest Park Blvd. in Fort Worth.

Hi, I used the Hurst facility also, my doctor is Dr. Ferrarra, his office is in Fort Worth. He is partners with Dr. Smith, the office staff is great, and the Hurst Center was very nice, friendly, and dedicated to WLS.

If you are still keeping track, I was banded on Dec 27, 2007, and I am in Fort Worth, Texas.

I have known about T Tapp for years, would have a go at it, see results and let life get in the way, but now that I am banded and on the band wagon, TTapp and walking are my main exercise. Hoping to see great results, love the skin brushing also!!! Glad to know there are other Tappers out there in band land.

I am five years out and right at 100 pounds down. Some days are harder than others, but any weight loss journey and maintaining is work. The band alone can't do all the work. Hang in there. I love my band!
