  1. I'm sorry, I posted this in pre op.
  2. I can not get rid of the bad breath and nasty taste in my mouth. Not brushing, listerene, breath mints. What is going on?? Could it be the actigall med? I need some help eek!
  3. I see nothing wrong with your question. Although, what others lose does not predict what you will. I lost 20lbs this first month (and 19 preop). Some lose more, some lose less.
  4. I am 4 weeks out and I still struggle with energy. Hope it comes back soon.
  5. It took 4 weeks for the burning and tugging to stop. I am 4 weeks today and I still feel it a couple times a day. It will get tolerable though.
  6. I was sleeved on 6/12. I am down 18 lbs from surgery date. I was hoping it would be more but I am not too discouraged, I know it will happen. I am currently on soft stage foods. Some meals I can get down 3 tablespoons. Some meals I can only get down one. It's such a guessing game. Nothing has made me sick though, so that's good.
  7. I don't quite understand the difference. Could someone give me examples? I start purée tomorrow and soft food next week. Thanks!
  8. You'll want a few more days than that off. If not for pain, definitely for rest.
  9. Looks like I need to check out genepro! Thanks everyone, I am still having a hard time with protein
  10. I just can't take all these protein powders. I need it unflavored to stir into other things. Any ideas? Is the unjury good?
  11. I agree that there is no way I could get that much in at a time. My surgery was on the 15th, too. I'm only allowed 1 protein shake per day and drink (sip) 1/3 cup at a time. But... 12-16 oz of Fluid a day does not sound like enough! What is your total when you include protein shakes, broth, popsicles? Over the course of the day, I've been getting 56-60 oz. You have to be really careful to avoid dehydration--you don't want to wind up back in the hospital on IV fluids! I should have said 12-16 oz of water, not including the protein and Popsicles.
  12. How in the world are you all getting that much in? I am 9 days out and can't get more than 1-2 ounces at a time. I can only manage 12-16 oz of water a day and 20-25 grams of protein. My tummy does not want much more. I wish I could drink, I am having low energy.
  13. Oh geez, not what I wanted to hear but thanks for the answer!
  14. Thanks! Yep been walking. Gas just wants to hang out lol. Other than that I'm doing good!
  15. I had surgery Friday. I am doing great, not much pain but oh geez the gas and noises my stomach is making is driving me insane! I can't pass enough to make it shut up. Thank God is doesn't hurt. Any idea how long this will last????
  16. I had surgery this past Friday. While the pain is tolerable, I don't think you'll want to work for at least a week, if not more. I am sore and have gas, not horrible but definitely keeps you moving slow. Good luck!
  17. I'm feeling a little gassy tonight in the neck and shoulders area. But it's not horrible. Just need to move it around and out. Can't pass any just yet even though I've been walking a lot. I will most likely go home tomorrow.
  18. Just had my upper GI and no leaks. Not gonna lie it tastes awful and makes you want to puke. But it's just another thing that has to be done.
  19. My three day liquid diet included shakes. It's what kept me sane and not hungry. But check with your office first.
  20. It'll be ok. Just take it day by day and go with the flow. We will succeed!!
  21. It's typically taken out at the same time. Who want to go through this twice? Is he doing both surgeries or just the sleeve and referring you to someone else for the gallbladder? I don't know but I would really push for them to be done at the same time. That would be a deal breaker for me and I would find another surgeon.
  22. It's now 3am and I am feeling better. I've taken a few walks and bathroom trips, I did not have a cath! I am on Dilaudid and of course that helps. Anyone considering this surgery, don't be scared. So far, so good.
