Interesting Week!
So I hit my 3 week point in 10/27. Not exactly a stall, but a slow down (lost 3.6 lbs) for the week including a 3 day stall.
Since then, it seems to have really picked up (down 6.4 lbs in the last 7 days).
This weekend, I flew from Boston to California, which started with a hotel at the airport on Friday night and 4 meals that had many more calories than my normal meals.
Still lost 1.8 lbs in the last 48 hours.
CW: 224.8 (down 56 lbs from HW).

No weight loss after puke but I did have a BM this morning that dropped me another pound. If I could poop everyday now I would be thin before you know it.
Thinnerme I'm doing better today. The hamburger had some char on it and holy moly was that painful. Now I know why they say soft foods.
Sushi on Friday went well but the date I was on didn't go so well. I had my suspicions before hand and I was spot on. Not the kind of gal you want to meet your family. She had me hold the popcorn in the movie and I will say this, she wasn't grabbing for the popcorn. All this just during the previews. Moving on.????

I am not sure of my triggers, but it is probably related to just watching tv and being bored.

I think I'm just the opposite. I crave all kinds of things but I end up not being able to eat any of it. In fact tonight I went back to mushy. I took four corn tortillas and put them on the bottom of a baking pan and then I did a can of refried Beans a can of Water and some taco seasoning so that it was very very watery. I put it in the pan and I put four pieces of cheese on top and just baked it to make it warm and the cheese bubbly and ate it. It was very soupy but tasty I just don't feel like solid food is working right now

It really goes to show how paramount the pre op education portion should be stressed, and also enforced. This is pretty much a one way ticket punch. You not only have to know where you're going, but how difficult the route is along the way. And most importantly, that success isn't a given.
It was so hard for me to wait a year, including six months of classes, especially knowing that other regions in my insurance program only required three months of classes. But now I'm eternally grateful, and doubly so that that I found this place three months before my classes even began, and I've been here ever since.
I was well prepared for the realities of my surgery, and that has really helped me to adjust better to post op life.

mentally I want steak. Physically I can't imagine any solid meat. I tried vodka with oj yesterday. Three sips and ick. Threw it out. Tried a kit kat today two tiny bites. Didn't want it. Threw it away. So there u go. French fries might get me. Idk

Don't let anyone take away your joy. It is not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. Find a surgery buddy going down at the same time and partner up. If not, you can do this. People are up and posting on here how good they feel the next day. This can be you too. Good luck, don't give up.

@@kyear -- If you haven't done so, you might call the nutritionist to clarify the discrepancy. Your peace of mind durng the learning period is as important as getting things right.
I didn't vomit in the early days, but can give you a tip related. While your incisions are still sore, firmly press a bed pillow against them if you need to cough, sneeze, laugh or do anything else that will jar your midsection. The pillow will brace you and minimize discomfort.

Yesterday I had the sleeve. I'm having no pain at all just some discomfort due to gas. Now I'm just learning to sip Water.

Congratulations. Sounds like you're having a very good recovery. Everything you described is very normal similar to what we all went through. Great job. Let us know how you are getting on day by day.
@retriever I hear you I had the shittiest day ever there was rain snow and hail there's a giant convention by my work which is taking me an hour to get home and my car got a flat tire let's just start tomorrow fresh

My surgery was yesterday morning. Recovery was the worst part of it all when you first come off anesthesia before any pain medicine.
After a few hours sleep with pain meds, I felt significantly better. I walked around 50 laps around the nursing station last night and woke up feeling amazing this morning. I even got a shower in and put my make up on and sat in a rocking chair most the day.
I'm weaning myself off the pain medicine, which I'm not sure is a good or bad decision.
However I will say, my appetite is at none. I finally ate some broth to get the gas coming out of the bottom end.
After the initial pain of recovery, the worst part is literally the pressure of the gas in your chest. I found a system that worked well. Drink drink drink walk about 5 laps repeat! The Water actually helped my gas escape and dissipate.
I weigh 315 lbs.
Here's the incisions to expect, and they will be sore. But they will get better!

Not doing good. Haven't had a BM in a week, it feels like I ate to much, wore a tight fitting shirt to work and felt fat all day. Didn't get my walk/run in today because I was at the dentist. One of those shit days. Looking forward to a new day tomorrow????

hows everyone doing today.
i'm doing fine stomach wise (i can drink like regular) but eating is still bascially the same. little less sensitive than before.
vegas thought it would be funny and thro some snow and hail our way.....so i'm still at work waiting for the SEMA traffic and hail to die down so i can go home
p.s. i want a grilled cheese sandwich

Hi - I am new to the sleeve, I am in my 4th week. Can someone please tell me what sliming and dumping are? Neither sound that great.

At 2 weeks post-op I lost 11 lbs.
