Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

@@retrieverguy I admit to sleeping with a heating pad and I agree, my skin is sooo dry.

    Surgery day!

I would not start up that habit. But I am not a Starbucks person. Their coffee is too strong for me. I stick with my home Keurig, one cup a day in the AM, about 3-4 days a week.

@@pr_pitbullgrl Hell no. That stuff is TOOO sweet by itself. I dilute it with Water or add it to my cup of tea. I have read that some people drink it straight, but I cannot. I just measure out 2 - 4 oz. at a time and add the same amount of water or I will add an oz to my cup of tea. You can make popsicles or add it to Jello too.

@@pr_pitbullgrl I bought a case (12) of the Green Tea Lemon. I heard coconut was good too. It works well to sweeten my Water and my hot tea. Warning: It does have caffeine.

Yes, please share your diary. I like to stalk your diaries to see what you are eating. I need ideas and motivation.

Did I miss the post about the Isopure? Which flavor did you try? To me, the best is the lemon tea flavor. It goes great with Water and tea.

@@retrieverguy My 45 lbs lost consists of 30 pre-op and 15 post-op. I started my health classes with Kaiser on 6/16 at 225 lbs. My surgery day weight was 196. I am currently stuck at 180.

@@perforce Mashed potatoes were featured prominently on my 2 weeks post-op menu provided by my NUT/Kaiser. With cheese and some chili, yummy! Everything in moderation. It does fill me up quickly.
  10. This is something you can keep in the fridge at work or at home. High Protein, cheap and quick. http://www.latimes.com/food/dailydish/la-dd-oscar-mayer-lunchables-for-adults-p3-20140305-story.html

    Exercise? how soon?

I am going back to work tomorrow after being sleeved on 10/7 and my gym is at my job, so I guess I will continue doing what I was doing pre-op which was walking at least 30 minutes at a fast pace daily and maybe going to a cardio class here or there and using the weight machines some days to try and work on my arms, legs and core. My doctor just said stick to walking for at least the first 2 weeks and then ease into workout listening to your body. He said that usually for the first couple of weeks, you have decreased energy, so as your energy rises, you can increase activity.

    Surgery day!

@@pr_pitbullgrl I think hamburger gives me the same affect. I tried some in chili and my sleeve did not like or at least was very loudly fighting it. I had to walk and attempt to burp the feeling of it just sitting on my chest. When I smell my kid's food choices from trips to Taco Bell or similar, I go crazy. It smells good, but I have to resist. I might break down and get a turkey taco from Del Taco one day, but luckily there is not one very close to the house. It would be very helpful to have a close-by sleeve buddy. Especially one to get out and walk with. Right now it is just me and Leslie Sansone videos or a couple of times around the track during my son's football practice. I am going to try going to work tomorrow. We will see how I do with eating and drinking and hopefully getting my daily walking in.

    Surgery day!

Who else was tempted by some Halloween candy today? I ate a package of fun size M & M's, and toppings on a slice of pizza at a Halloween party. Otherwise, I was good, but my calorie count was higher than normal.

    Had surgery 10/28/15

Normal for four days out. You can take Tylenol for headaches if you don't want to use the prescription pain meds you were sent home with.

    Muscle milk

I am a member, but my mom orders Vitamins and stuff from them online. I did not know about the 5% surcharge. When they have the Premier on sale ($3.00 or $5.00 off a case) it seems to be a better deal. Right now they are about $1.38 for each container at Costco. $24.99 for 18 drinks.

    Muscle milk

You can order Premier from Costco online and don't have to be a member. I like the Vanilla. The Chocolate flavors fluctuated, sometimes chocolatey, most times it was not.

    Post-Op Gas Pain

Smooth Move causes cramping, but it gets the job done, and you feel so much better when that poop build up is no longer gathering/growing behind your incision pain. I used it 4 days post-op and had to breathe through it, like I was giving birth. No joke.
  21. My Kaiser program had a mandatory health education class. We met weekly for three months. We weighed in and had to provide food diaries. I lost 30 lbs before surgery and the knowledge learned has helped me to transition well into post-op life too. I felt like I could have continued losing if the program continued because i had to be accountable and checking in and showing losses were motivating and praised by my NUT. But I felt and still do feel that the surgery is another tool to continue to lose and get me to my goal and then maintain. I will continue to go to support groups with Kaiser to remain accountable and motivated.

Why do I do this to myself! UGH!

It is bound to come up again. I know it will happen to me when I go back to work soon. What is a good choice at McDonald's? Breakfast burrito now that they serve breakfast 24-7? Or salad because you cannot eat that quickly while driving?
