    Protein Options

@@kyear Are you on myfitnesspal? It helps to see what other people who have been sleeved are doing for their Protein. There are many options and seeing other sleevers food diaries is a big help for me to look at other options.

Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

@@retrieverguy I tend to eat 1/2 cup of 5.3 oz yogurt at a time, but this morning, I did eat a whole 5.3 oz cup but it took more than 1 hour.

Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

I can eat one egg. The last bite or two, I might feel some restriction. I add a little bit of cheese to my scrambled egg. I cannot eat more than 2-3 oz of food at meals. I start to feel it coming back up if I push it.

Weight Gain 1 month post op

Just keep up with the protein, liquids, staying within your NUTS recommended calorie counts and getting in some exercise the best you can. I think it is normal to go up and down sometimes, or sometimes stall.

    Surgery day!

Good luck tomorrow. I am sure it is hard to focus on the good that you are doing for yourself while you are dealing with emotional issues with your breakup, but know that you can handle this on your own. The hospital stay is quick. Just take care of yourself. Make sure when you come home, you have what you need, liquids, your prescriptions, your meds (if being prescribed some) and your Protein. You can do this.

    Surgery day!

So yesterday was our 1 month surgiversary (10/7 sleeves). I am starting my Calcium back. I have been stuck on 179 for 4 days. I finally had a bowel movement. It was rough. So I hope to see it move to 178. I have to increase my Water. I don't understand why it is so tough for me to get it down!

    Surgery day!

I know it is weird, but on Facebook, I belong to like every foodie page and I see it all day, and I like the recipes that pop up (so many about cauliflower and butternut squash lately!). I watch food tv shows, look at food on Pinterest, etc. But it does not make me crave anything. I just think, cool, I want to try this or this looks good, etc. Maybe all this food overload is making me just not care. I am mostly just obsessed with finding my favorite Proteins. I am not sure of my triggers, but it is probably related to just watching tv and being bored.

    Why am I so hungry?

Are you drinking 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after your meals, and NOT during your meals?
  14. Contact her again and clarify. Did they tell you how long you are on clear liquids?

    Surgery day!

I don't have any cravings per say. Like I am not saying ooh I want some of this or that. My downfall is that my kids bring home fast food stuff and I sometimes hate the smell and other times I love the smell. This week, I have had pizza toppings, a KFC chicken tender and a tiny plate of Panda Express beef & broccoli. I try to be strong and I try to make good choices, but I have little willpower. These dang kids keep bringing crap home. I cook but they prefer going out. It is driving me crazy. I tell my oldest kids to stop eating out. No one listens.

    Feel so unsupported

Don't let anyone take away your joy. It is not going to be easy, but it will be worth it. Find a surgery buddy going down at the same time and partner up. If not, you can do this. People are up and posting on here how good they feel the next day. This can be you too. Good luck, don't give up.

    Surgery day!

@@kyear Welcome you are doing great for 1 day out! Your incisions look great! Keep doing what you are doing, walk, walk, walk, sip, sip, sip, if you are in pain take the medicine! @@pr_pitbullgrl We had rain yesterday, and some hail, but it turns to snow and crazy stuff once it goes East. Tomorrow is another day. I worked from home today. Ate some whole wheat Pasta spaghetti, that was frozen from a previous dinner. I only could eat a little bit. I am still stuck on 180, but I hope it turns to 179 tomorrow. Fingers crossed. @@retrieverguy I finally had a BM yesterday. The build up sucks and it is very uncomfortable. I had to do a mix of Smooth Move, coffee and prune juice back to back and it was still painful, but when it happened, it was such a relief. Hang in there.

  22. I haven't seen this in my area going to be a mission to find this. Looks so convenient. Have all of you tried the P3 packs? I have tried the ones with turkey and peanuts. They are $1.99 at my local Von's/Albertsons. They are in the deli meats/cheese/hot dog aisle. They are very convenient, quick and filling. Just the right amounts to keep in the fridge at work and home.
