    Kaiser Permanente Options program

I just completed class 7 at Kaiser Hollywood. Slowly changing habits, increasing exercise and losing some lbs.

    Kaiser Permanente Options program

I called Panorama City and they had a morning class start TODAY! That is what I wanted! Why did I wait to call! Ugh. I am hoping they will let me in next week and then do the 1st class make up on June 1st. West LA starts an afternoon class on 5/28 at 4:30, but the morning class does not start until August. Baldwin Hills has a class starting in July in the mornings. Sunset is Friday nights at 5:30 starting June 16. I am trying to make this work, but it might not.

Well, I guess I will be waiting until June 16 as that is when next set of Options classes start at Sunset.

    Kaiser Permanente Options program

So I am back from my orientation class tonight. I have to call tomorrow to see when the next Options class starts. It looks like Sunset only starts 1 class per month and May is already full. I think Baldwin Hills has two starts a month and they were not full last I checked. Has anyone asked their PCP for a referral to another Health Education location after the orientation. I just think waiting 6 weeks til the June class is a waste of time and I could be half way through with the 12 weeks options class by the time this one starts.

    California? Anyone...ツ

@@Dave in SoCal Thank you for responding. Is this three months after your three months of classes? How often are the classes in Hollywood. I am signed up for orientation this Weds, May 6. I will consider attending the support group, is that a support group for post-OP. Do you know if I will have a problem getting approved if I have an over 40 BMI but no other issues (yet) like diabetes or heart disease, etc.? Thanks!
  8. Have any of you been refused by Kaiser because of a BMI under 42 and no underlying medical issues?
  9. Thank you for responding. I will consider Downey or South Bay if they provide great service and doctors. Also thanks for the information on the DS. I have heard of it as being an option, but not those details. Good to know this.

    California? Anyone...ツ

I am in NE Los Angeles between Glendale and Pasadena. I have Kaiser. Which office should I consider? My PCP just told me she would refer me yesterday, so I have not been contacted yet.
  11. I am just starting the process. My PCP told me yesterday at my annual that she would be referring me to Health Education. Can anyone share the telephone number for the options program. My PCP is at the Sunset location and I love in NE Los Angeles, between Glendale and Pasadena. Are there options programs up this way? Thanks!
