  1. 2 weeks later and I am still at 184!!! What the heck. It's been almost a month! I've been looking for stall threads but haven't found one where it's been this long. I know they have to exist. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

    Issues Post Op

Honestly at 3 weeks I think that sounds normal. I didn't rejoin the land of the living until 5 weeks. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

    Big bosomed friends

Interesting you ask. Since I have gotten fitted I have noticed the outer breast pain when I take off my bra at night. I associate it with the fact that my breasts have grown accustomed to hanging and now that they are firmly in place most of the day, they actually hurt when they aren't held up. I have started keeping a sports bra on in the evenings just to provide a little support. Though it's no where near the support I get from my fitted bra, it does help. I did recently. What a difference. I knew my band has shrunk. I was trying so hard to get normal bras (38DD) but they just looked awful... Quad boob or uniboob, spillage, slippage, back fat etc... I went and got fitted and am a 36ff. What a difference! Because I am so saggy I got moulded cups. The girls are firmly in place and look adorably perky in my clothes. No back fat. A good bra makes a world of difference. I have heard places like Victoria's secret don't really do proper measurements because they want everyone to fit into the bras they have on hand. Not sure if it's true but I know there are no stores that carry my size, nor have I ever had a bra that's fits me so perfectly. The place I went carries all of them in Stock so there was no waiting but if I had to wait I would have for sure. Seriously... well worth it and no more expensive than a good bra from somewhere else.

  6. Hi there. I am 38 and was sleeved in November 2015. I regretted my decision every second of every day for the first 4 weeks solid. I was miserable and sick and in a ton of pain. Week 5 was a turning point for me. I started to feel better... more normal. It was then that I really started to understand and appreciate this second chance. I am now 5 months out and down over 70 lbs. I am shopping in normal clothing sections. Today I actually went for a jog. Deep breathes girl. You got this. We are here for you. Everything will work out. Trust me. Hugs. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

    Big bosomed friends

Mine are still large but in a sad saggy sort of way. I went and got fitted for a bra and had to get a moulded cup to keep them up and perky looking. I will most likely look into augmentation when I am at goal because they are a sad sad sight. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

  9. Morning! Found this thread today. I am doing ok. I have been stalled for almost 2 weeks at 184. I am down 72 lbs since my first weigh in, 59 lbs since surgery day. (I am 5'4", 38 yrs old) I got pretty lazy physically and stopped tracking during that time so I have gotten back into it. I am hoping to see some movement soon. At my last Dr appt he set a goal of 161 but thought I'd surpass it. I thought I would too but now I'm not sure. He said the next 30 lbs would be harder and he is right. So glad I found this thread! Take care everyone. Sent from my SM-G930P using the BariatricPal App

How long do you have to crush your pills?

I never crushed pills either. The hospital had me taking pills day 1 post op. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
  11. Please call your urologist again or go to the ER? Like right now. The swelling and shortness of breath are extremely concerning. These are both symptoms of renal failure. With the kidney stones and blood you need to be seen again. Please! Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    Photo Allergy after sleeve?

I am 38 and noticed it a few years ago. My sister is 5 years older and noticed it last year. My dermatologist told me is was due to aging and changes in the skin. Ours occurs in the first few sun exposures of the year (we live in Chicago with 4 seasons) and any time after that where we spend several hours in the sun. Talk to a dermatologist. I always wear sunscreen now and rarely have an issue. My sister isn't great with her sunscreen so still experiences issues and often times has to take benedryl for the itching. Photo Allergy after sleeve?

I developed this same reaction a few years ago and have had it since (long before my sleeve). My sister also developed it. For us it was not related to anything accept normal aging. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    Buying Bras Post Surgery

I'm in your boat except I'm not at goal. My girls have really taken a hit with my loss so far. The thought of some poor woman having to deal with me and my saggy baggies is mortifying. To try to be price aware I think I've tried on every bra Kohls carries. I've bought a few but nothing is fitting right. I have severe cup issues (quad boob in the front center with a gigantic empty cup gapping space by my arm pits...not sure how it can seem to small and too big simultaneously) Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    Iron-Deficiency Anemia Post Surgery

I hope your appt goes well and they figure it out. My surgeon was sort of accusatory that I must be skipping my Vitamins. I have never missed a dose so that obviously isn't it. I hope my issue is resolved but he doesn't retest until my 6 month appt. Please keep me updated. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

    Iron-Deficiency Anemia Post Surgery

Following. I was sleeved in November 2015. My 3 month follow up (it was actually closer to 4 months) shows an Iron deficiency. I have started on an oral prescribed iron supplement. I hope that resolves it but want to be prepared for if it doesn't. Most notable symptoms for me were pure exhaustion, mostly as of like 7PM and after, and being brutally uncomfortably cold. I couldn't warm up regardless of layers and layers. Since I started the supplement I feel better so far and my weight loss has picked up again significantly. More critical of facial features after WLS?

I can relate. I am down almost 70 lbs with plenty more left to lose, and now that my face is thinning out I am not happy with what I see either. I feel like my nose is huge, my face is 12 shades Pinker than my neck, and my neck looks like a wrinkly turkey neck. I didn't see these things when I was 70 lbs heavier. In rational moments I assure myself I am being overly self critical, and I am sure you are also. You look beautiful in your avatar photo. We both need to stop being our own worst critics! 21. I too am surprised you still have that type of pain. I felt like it took me longer than most when my pain lasted thru 5 weeks post op. The Dr contributed my pain due to my 4 prior abdominal surgeries and the large volume of scar tissue he had to work thru. But even with that, at 5 weeks I was 100% again. I would probably engage both my surgical team as well as my primary care physician to get to the bottom of this. You shouldn't be having so much pain 3 months out that you can't perform daily activities. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
  22. I am a month behind you and was losing pretty slowly, like .25 lbs over a 2 week period for a few weeks. I upped my calories & Protein for a few days and started losing again. I recently dropped my calories again because I mentally thought I should (I was so worried about eating 1100 calories a day - sounds ridiculous now), and my weight loss has slowed again. The mental aspect behind all of this is amazing. Even though my scale started moving my mind convinced me I shouldn't eat that much. So, I am increasing again. Some day I'll figure it out. You will too. Hang in there. Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App

  25. I don't have personal experience but someone who is very near and dear to me has clotting issues. They take a daily dose of blood thinners and have since their first pregnancy. Like you she developed a clot with her pregnancy and several since then. Any medical procedure requires her to go off her blood thinner and things always get scary at those times. She has never had a PE, instead several DVTs, so no filter has ever been placed so I can't speak for that. I hope some people with experience can help you! There seems to be some good information on the Internet about the filter in general, but first hand experience is better. I would be nervous too, I mean who isn't when contemplating any surgery. I wish you the best and hope decisions come easy for you. The blood clotting issue is so scary alone. Take care of yourself and I hope to welcome you to the losers bench Sent from my SM-N910P using the BariatricPal App
