I used dr. Geiss and was banded 6 days ago. He did a couple of my friends also. I thought he was great. A very busy man and you don't get to see him much but an excellent surgen-Elisa

Iwas banded thursday 8/28 and I'm still in a lot of pain and I have the runs and the growling and acid reflux but I want to see how this will pan ou. Good Luck-Elisa

I think the chest pain is gas. I had terrible gas pain in my back for the 1st 2 days. I think its important to read positive posts but I also feel its important to be realistic. I have had 2 c-sections and I have to say this did hurt more that I thought it would. I had this thursday at 6pm now its mon at 6pm and I'm feeling a lot better. but very sore. If you have bad gas I would not have veggies in the soup. Have you taken the gas x strips they melt in your mouth. I went thru a whole box because I didn't want it to go past my stomach into my sholder. I think it also hurts to breath because of the muscles are sore. Did they give you a thing to breath into? Keep breathing in and out deep 10x every few hours. Let me know how you are doing-Elisa P.s have you gone to the bathroom yet if you haven't that could add a lot of gas. I didn't go for 3 days and on the 4th ran to the bathroom with the runs and felt much better-Elisa

I had my band done 8/28 and I have to say I was in a lot more pain then I thought I would be in. Thank god for my husband taking the kids out. I had it done thursday at 6:00pm and was out 10 hours later. I really could have stayed until 6pm but they were done with all the x-rays and I was walking around so I went home.Where did you get banded?

Just wanted to see how the surgery went. I am going in today Thursday 8/28/08 nervous, nervous and my surgery is at 8:30 pm which means I can't eat anything or drink anything after 9am How am I going to do that for 10 hours.-elisa

Hi Lisa- I have spoken to so many people I don't remember. I am having my surgery on Thursday 8/28th 5 days from now!!! with Dr. Geiss. A lady I met on line had hers done 3 weeks ago With Dr. Geiss and she is helping me get emotionally ready. I could help you ! I'll let you know everything. Where are you from?

am not telling anybody either. I am having my band with Dr geiss on 8/28 th 2008 . I am going to have my parents watch thethem and even they dont know. I told them I have a workshop for a school I work in.

Hi sue! It's Elisa. I'm glad we were able to meet and don't worry. Once we eat smaller and smaller amounts our stomach should adjust. I hope Candle how does it work?

You can do what I did. Depending on your job... I found out which ins's are covered 100% then I took a job that would cover it. If you work in a school from a teacher to a custodian. The ins. is great and covers. US health care and Blue cross Blue shield.Good luck-Elisa

Candle -I am having mine done w/Dr Geiss. Do you have any advice for me since you lost sooo much . Like how? I can't even fathom going from your start till now. I am starting out a little less than what you started at. Will I be able do do it? How come some people lose only about 40 and then others 140?-Elisa

I would like to know how you could be a size 4 and be 145 pds? When I was 145 pds I was a size 10. Congrads on the weight loss but I was just curious?
