Yeeessss!!! Was wondering what was going on! I too feel some weird sensation on my left outer thigh and it gets numb. It is sporadic so I can't figure out what triggers it. I am almost 3wks out. Lets hope someone can help us figure out what it is.

I know and have read a few people such as myself becoming sick of the Protein shakes, so I decided to try and make a Protein milkshake and OMG it was the best! I highly recommend it, tastes like a McDonald's milkshake with less calories and hardly any carbs. I will say I am 3wks post op and it's tolerated very well.
For the ingredients I used 3/4 cup bryers sugar free vanilla ice cream, 1 cup low carb fairlife protein milk and 2 scoops of publix organic vanilla whey Protein Powder. YUMMY 50g of protein total and you can't even taste it!
Well it had me so excited I had to share haha!
Thanks for sharing! I know it sucks to try and get the Protein Shakes in so this is an alternative. I am still on full liquids so I could spread this over the whole day... I am barely making 400 calories a day. Will definitely try it.

Call your surgeon's help line. With surgery being Monday, I would not mess with any pain meds that may or may not cause issues. Just call and let them decide what you need to do. All the best and hope you feel better.

So I'm a pretty regular exerciser. And I recently started my two week liquid diet. My calorie intake is about 600-800 a day. And I think it's finally starting to get to me. I feel really weak and tired and it's only been a couple days.
Should I cut back on the exercise until after surgery or should I keep trying? Will I get use to this? Or is it going to get worse? I hate the idea of not working so im curious as to what other people did???
Congrats on your journey! Store as much energy as possible for the first week after surgery. I just kept to my pre-op diet and just as yourself I was weak from the reduced calories. I did not exercise hard just walked to improve blood flow.

Congratulations on beginning your journey.
I was sleeves on July 21 of this year.
I am super grateful for no issues, no food problems, etc. I had my 8 week check today and I am at 40lbs.
Only thing I would do different, is not get discouraged during the early stalls. Mine lasted almost 2 weeks...then suddenly, I started dropping. The big the I didn't notice, etc through my clothes and I needed to realize it, I was still losing inches. So now, I just remind myself, it's going to come off, just be patient!
So glad you talked about the stall! I am 2 weeks out and my scale has not moved. I have to start working on patience

Hey everyone, I am so glad to be apart of this forum. I have a load of thoughts. I am a single mom of a 1 year and I just need to know if any of you guys have been in this boat. I have my last NUT visit on Friday and then the Dr's. office will send off my records for my authorization. I have been told by numerous sleevers that you cant lift for the first 4 weeks??? How is this even possible with a 1 year old at home???? If anyone has any advice please share. I came really far on this journey and I would hate to have to wait 2 or 3 more years.
Am
Congrats on starting your journey. It is true you can't lift anything the first few weeks. One of the incisions is very painful. Every time I walked around during the first week, I had to lift the flesh around it because the gravity pull was so painful. With a one year old, you will need some help.

I say you let them get on the other side as they see you transform to the person you want to be.
I chose not to tell anyone in my family just because only I have been obese and known the toll it has had on me. There are somethings that are just personal and just need your personal validation.
Do what is best for you, it is your journey the rest should catch up.
Now schedule that surgery and start living, we will be here to cheer you on! All the best

@losing2win great! The staff is friendly and professional. My surgeon is Dr Nick, I chose him because when I consulted with them I found him to be a straight shooter and I left the seminar clear that sleeve was just a tool and that I had to do my part to succeed.
All the surgeons there are skilled - you are in good hands.
All the best in your journey!

And for this reason the Nicholson Clinic is the best!

Hi - starting my 3rd week post op. Please break down and share what you are eating or were eating during this period.
I am still on full liquids for another week ((day 1 - 21). I am running out of variety but am hanging in there
-
Nausea for the first 3 days post op! I slept and woke up with a sick bag in my hands and thought I would tear my fresh staples from throwing up dye.

2 weeks out and I remember the Nurse Practitioner in the preop room say, "Do not cross your legs for at least a month!"... I was like "Why?" and she said "Blood clots, you have to keep moving."
Well since I am done with the blood thinner injection I am scared not crossing my legs and walking around just to avoid clots
Hope that counts as exercise

Good luck and do not be discouraged by the first couple of days. It only gets better.

Adding never thought:
Within the first two days post op I would ever stop feeling nauseated, oh I hated this the most.
I would forget to take in fluids because there are no hunger yawns just sleep yawns
I would belch foam after accidentally eating a sugar Popsicle instead of a sugar-free one
I would be able to walk without lifting my left incision and working against gravity
I would be able to bend and pick something from the floor
I would be able to sit around people eating some of my previous favorite foods and not be concerned because I am not hungry or craving the food
Sunrise to Sunset sip sip sip is so hard.
I would wake up everyday knowing I am destined to weigh less than the previous...

You need to commit to find out what is making you gravitate towards negative influences in your life. The weight you had piled on before and the new mean personality have a lot in common. Get this fixed in a medical setting, you are worth all good things. Wish you all the best in your journey as you find yourself

I'm 9 days post op and really struggling with my Protein intake as we'll as fluids. Could you drink on a Protein Shake all day long? Or should you only drink those at a meal or snack time? Open to any suggestions !!
Hi,
I am 9 days out too and I am barely able to take more than one shake a day. I am drinking more Water but not the 64oz I need. It is a work in progress. Just keep sipping.

Before surgery it is hopeless failure that is mostly permanent for most of us but with this tool you can fail with the hope that you can pick yourself backup and do better the next day.

If you keep your identifiable information private, you still can exist anonymously and contribute or get support from this page. The problem is if you use your real name, post your pics with your face or house in the background it will be easy for other to know who you are. The internet knows what you give to it.
You can use some smart precautions and sort of have some privacy.
--I would not use my real name
--I would not post pics of myself
--I would not give my date of birth
--I would use a special email for such sites
--I would not give the name of my insurance carrier
And I would still be able to share my journey with other freely imo

Hydrate yourself and have some electrolytes. My doctor told me to make sure I am drinking enough Water and to keep changing sitting position every hour or so. Good luck and hope you feel better
